  1. If you go up from Langdale the New Dungeon Gyll pub has a bunkhouse and does a cracking meal as well...
  2. I'm moving house this weekend - well decorating anyway - so I won't be about and neither will Nina, getting her knee deep in paint as well!
  3. We saw evidence that he had been there in the grass - we got there about 10:30 but no sign of the kite! And we decided it was a bit wet to static fly without full mudproofs!
  4. Me and Nina are planning to fly sometime tomorrow morning - let us know where..but hte beach is probably favourite. Can give a lift to someone if I know, just need to make sure the car isn't overloaded to start with!
  5. 35mph SW - I've got a Tesco bag we could use:rolleyes: Up for a fly at the weekend - have to be Saturday morning though busy the rest of the time...
  6. So the kite stays in yoda's bag for a bit longer then...
  7. Weather for tomorrow looking good at the mo..not so nice Sunday. And the wind is due south tomorrow so surely Exmouth would be a better place to fly than the Ho! Though saying that no idea what I'm doing - moving house next weekend so all a bit crazy!
  8. Think I'm gonna have to be off:mad: working in Berkshire again - Hope Martin enjoys the dry, smooth winds!
  9. 60 people in Asia die of Bird Flu in Asia - hardly scary is it? More people probably dies from accidentally falling on a small nail with their left small finger on a Thursday morning - or something equally unlikely. Actually almost bound to be more reported alien abductions than cases of human bird flu.
  10. Supermarkets are the best bet for good boxes - fruit boxes that have lids that go right over the box are the best, virtually indestructible! And as I'm in limbo I've got nearly everything in boxes - looking forward to unpacking in a few weeks time...
  11. Could look at an overbilt - around £325
  12. So you heard then:rolleyes: NEVER trust a Blade in slightly gusty conditions on grass, causes brown stains to appear:eek: You all going to the DL tomorrow evening? I miight be able to make it if traffic isn't too bad...
  13. Me and Nina are up for flying anywhere any time on Saturday - though early mornings are usually a struggle:rolleyes: Anywhere that's good in an easterly we'll get to! Would offer lift but my board doesn't fit in the boot!
  14. Your around every day - bl**dy students:D
  15. Well I'm working away so the weather is bound to be good! And with sun and wind forecast for tomorrow you never know there might actually be some kite flying happening before the drinking. ANd since I won't be there is anyone around for a fly on Saturday - either in Exeter or further afield, down at the Duckponds maybe...?
  16. Well I want a 10m 05 Frenzy - they were about £550 and selling quickly not that long ago now they are hanging about even if they are less than £450! And I can't buy them til I've sold mine...oh and we're all poor cos we keep buying more kites:rolleyes:
  17. mmm....frisbee and boomerang...or drinking again!!
  18. Gotta go fly or at least put in some effort to try:rolleyes: and as a backup the double locks is pretty good:D
  19. IF you really want a blade that's cool but have you thought about the Mac Bego 600 - flies in about the same winds as the B3 8.5
  20. They aren't really suitable for landboarding or for snowkiting - but as you say a lot cheaper than the Depower option! They are more of an introduction to kiting, easy to fly, two lines and enough power to have you scudding around and jumping. You will probably be better off selling some of the cheaper traction kites like teh PKD Buster and HQ Beamer series which can be used for landboarding but don't cost a small fortune
  21. Me (Chris) and koolkecks79 (Nina) will be up for it - as well as the social in the pub afterwards:D Would have made it last week if we hadn't been sunning ourselves in Spain:rolleyes:

I'm sure me and koolkecks will make it some weeks...any evening is as goos as any other - tho it'll have to be weekends before long and the clock change (how is it that time of year again already:eek: )

The duckponds are alright if the winds alright! I'll probably be flying that way a bit more now that I'm living further south and the trek to Weston is now a bit further! Actually thinking about it Exmouth is probably my local flying beach now...
  24. Where do you fly? I'm often at Weston and if you want to meet up you can try a Mac Bego and a Samurai 6m if the other half will let go of it!!
  25. The question should be Is there any point in going on holiday without packing my kites?
