  1. That is a nice board Morgan, pity there is no ruddy wind to ride it!!!! grr poncy southern summer.
  2. All I want is an 18 to 20mph smooth southerly, is that being unreasonable?
  3. There better be some wind this weekend or there will be trouble, end of story.
  4. I wouldn't have a problem flying my 16 in 20mph as long as it was super smooth, any hint of a gust and a touch of depower is in order. You don't have to bring the kite down far in the wind window in post 20mph to get moving therefore avoiding serious lateral pull and just swing it round and up you go, easy.
  5. Simple solution to this, have a quiver of V1s and v2s, so if it is a bit lumpy put up the V1s and if its not put up the V2s. Right now where did I leave that credit card.
  6. The lack of wind recently on the weekends has been unacceptable, who do I speak to to relsove this, i want names and i want answers. thanks.
  7. Original all the way, all other derivatives should be banished to a far off land as they are just wrong, well except fruits they can stay. Good poll.
  8. White was very impressive, they all were really. My favourite however was the mad little Japanese kid in the second heat, I think his name was nomu, he went a bit mad at the top of the pipe and started jumping up and down and screaming to get amped up, he then proceeded to do a massive mctwist on his first boost and then went for a front side 1080 and bailed and at the end of the run he went nuts again and started screaming, bonkers.
  9. It was jolly good, the rocket propelled mini was class, but I can't help thinking the snowmobile off the ski jump was faked!
  10. Well that was a truely epic weekend wind wise:mad: . XC is predicting some wind at the weekend and swinging round to the south, for a bleedin change, but I ain't counting my chickens (or should that be geese ).
  11. Lard, just wait until the wind swings around to the south then it will be back to the super smooth flying conditions which port solent is famous for .
  12. Pretty much a complete waste of time today was super gusty and unstable, venom was ok on the move, but with a northerly wind can't expect mush else. Fair play to the dude who spent half an hour setting up a slingy LEI, in the air twenty seconds massive gust comes through, deploy the saftey, pack up and go home, good days kiting, my recommendation buy a peter lynn arc!
  13. Not a bad day down at port solent today, the ground was not as wet as I expected and is not bad for this time of year really, perfectly rideable bar a couple of muddy patches. Good to see a handful of arcs flying its always a nice sight.
  14. Interest free credit cards offers! nice.
  15. The longest i have gone without flying must be about 3-4 months and the only reason for it was that the only kite I had at the time, 4.9 Blade III, had broken my mates leg and I was scared to fly it!!! Right now where did I leave that 16m Venom so I can go fly.
  16. I plan to be flying on Saturday, haven't flown my kites in a month and have only ridden my kitedeck for an hour in the two months that I have had it due to rubbish weather!! Hope this weekend is dry and windy!
  17. I am back in Glasgow for Christmas and obviously I want to fly. I am just wondering what it is like down at Irvine beach park, is it relatively dry and useable or should I just go to St Andys instead. Cheers.
  18. That was some impressive kite loop action!
  19. Very slick.
  20. These do look like sweet kites, would love to try one with my landboard.
  21. I tried the shorten front strap mod today. There was practically no wind to speak of certainly sub 10mph and probably not alot more than 5, so I gave it a go. Used a pair of shoe laces, as that was all I had, must have shortened the strap by 4 to 5cm, left the adjustable strap fully out, and the kite went up without to much fuss. There really wasn't enough to get boarding but if the wind had been slightly stronger about 8 - 10mph I think I could have been quite easily crusing along. There was a definate performance improvment, I say give it a go.
  22. They look interesting, wonder how well it would work if you added a kite into the mix.
  23. Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me.
  24. Right, I am with you now. I might give that a go.
  25. How exactly are you supposed to shorten the shoulder strap, there is no buckle. The only way I can possibly think of is to cut the strap and sew it back together!!!
