  1. Didnt find it overly difficult with a few hours practice i was happily going up and down and upwind! As said it does take time and some people it comes to naturally while not to others:) ...It does help knowing how to fly the kite well and what its limitations and strengths are. That way you know what you can and cant do while still being able to concentrate on what your doing with the board:) It goes from flying the kite (2D) to boarding and flying the kite (3D) to boarding, flying the kite and watching where your going (4D) and so on... You may also want to add depower in and youve got alot of D's I compare it with when i was learning to drive for some reason:rolleyes:
  2. arrr:eek: sproggs multiplyed:eek:
  3. I say old but have never tried the new. But if youve got the cash get a trampa and skate trucks...the dogs boll*cks:D Getting a trampa soon myself and nicking parts from my old airdeck:)
  4. 4 metre blade II love it and will probably never be rid of it:p
  5. Feel for ya there:( I managed to learn quickly as i was on summer holiday but now terms started im getting out less and less:( Winds not in a great shape either as i live inland....granted not as far inland as you but inland nevertheless:rolleyes: Stick with it.....and youll be off and showing gabe how its really done...lol:rolleyes: Good luck Adam humph...back to the essay i go:(
  6. I personnnally would say weight does have an influential factor... Same kite, same technique elephant Vs Tiger Tiger wins as a 4mtr blade aint gonna lift an elephant;) ...whatever you try:p THe above only works if you can make these animals learn to fly and board in an acceptable manner though...
  7. Got my Frenzy 03 9.5 (skint) about 3 weeks ago and am loving every moment of it:) :D
  8. Got a 9.5 frenzy 03 second hand a few weeks ago and am enjoying it immensly:D It has certainly helped me improve my skills and having watched spooky fly his frenzy and a few others..im gradually getting the hang of it:D I weigh 9 stone and been out in up to 20mph big jumps lol but so far its showed itself to have a large windrange so is looking good. PS. Spooky...im landing alot more of my jumps now...lol:) ...maybe not the big ones though:rolleyes:
  9. Yeah seen quite a few of those things when i lived abroad. Alot of the American mums would shuffle there kids from one compound to another in them:) perfect sinse they werent allowed to drive:eek: Would definatly work though:)
  10. Aslong as your able to do the journey in realtive confort consearning the stuff on your back go for it over and over again:D Incidently..my Driving test is on Monday so no more getting lifts, walking or cycling :D Yay GL Adam

  15. My pivot cups have started to split;) ....there gonna have to wait awhile before replacement though... i guess i tighten my trucks up very tight and a few heavy landings, aswell as exposure to the elements have led to their demise:(
  16. Weve got one in our feild..... Im sure theres a pic on the website...http://www.mkflyers.co.uk...but its usually not used except for when some mountain boarders come along:) I might if im brave move it and see what happens.... Adam

  18. Did he happen to try kite surfing in a swimming pool by any chance? Seriously though...where a helmet... i allways do now:)
  19. Digital watches are rubbish for height readings....they go on air pressure and its all highly unacurate..... If you get any decent gps it should have a height function:) ...but the question is are you going to get the thing out when your 20 foot up, read it, put it away, and then at the same time fly your kite....and prepare yourself for landing.... Best just to say you were bloody high:eek:
  20. Good example though:p
  21. Sorry all i could see there were jack ups...lol I fly with jack ups:o ...stupid harness:rolleyes:
