  1. Please note, the parking is free at the moment but you do have to pay a couple of quid when the summer season starts. Anyways, it's a good beach and definately worth forking out for a bit of parking .
  2. I was there on Saturday afternoon. If anyone saw me, I was the one being dragged face first down the beach by my 3.0 blade . I was also lifted and dump on my a*se a few times and I'm also nursing some sore ankles (well, sore everything really). Was great fun but maybe just a little too windy for my 3rd outing. Does anyone know what the wind speed was on Saturday pm for future reference?
  3. I'll be there . Weather looking OK at the moment. Hope to see you all.
  4. 36mpg gusting to 47mph here at the moment. It looks like Scotland is the only place that's calm which makes a change. I'm tempted to take my kids kite out today for a grin.
  5. They don't call him BusterBoy for nothin'
  6. Great to meet everyone yesterday, and enjoyed my first time flying (when the wind picked up). Thanks again to all who showed me the ropes and helped me set up, now I can't wait to get out again . Funny how our initial perceptions differ from reality. In kiting terms, my perceptions were born from my days as a kid running around the beach with my 50p special from the bucket & spade shop. Here’s a few that I noted :- Perception I’d just launch the kite into the middle of the wind window where it would sit at maximum power. Reality I have to work the kite around the window to get the power. Perception Once my kite was ‘sat there’ at max power, I’d go scudding along like a good ‘un. Reality Whilst concentration on manoeuvring the kite around the window, all thoughts of scudding were out the window (so to speak) which, therefore, resulted in me running along with it instead. Perception Once in the air, I’d only stop once I’d had enough Reality After only 5-10mins I was f*****g knackered. Gonna have to work on my fitness now, hehe. Although the reality differed from my perceptions, I think I’m going to love it even more. Hope to see you all again soon. Craig
  7. Thanks for that Bren, I was wonderin' myself. I'll be down around 1o'clock(ish). See you then. Craig
  8. There's a few of us going to Cleethorpes on Sunday (29th) if you fancy it.
  9. Good price for us in the UK with current exchange rates - works out about £94. Don't know how much shipping to the UK would be though.
  10. So, will my fellow flyers be able to tell what they are from looking at them by their thickness (obviously up-close, not in the air )?
  11. High tide 11.42am.
  12. ROTFLMAO
  13. Sell them and spend the money on whores. Much more enjoyable .
  14. Asked the seller of my 3m Blade 2 for the stats of the lines and he doesn't know. Says they're the bog standard ones that came with the kite. Does anyone know what length and strength lines come as standard on these babies?
