  1. Anybody else having problem getting onto BKSA forum site today? In past it's been slow, but today can get nowhere near. Also, if i try to get to personnel msg's, i get redirected to: http://www.tv/en-def-9e1a52e40735/cgi-bin/glob.cgi?domain=www.sickair.tv which seems to be an empty page. Help!!!
  2. Good idea Diggy. Also Craig, you've got to consider the storage of the box itself when not in use. To be big enough to put a buggy on top, it's going to need a fair amount of room in your garage. Is it wort the space, when you can hang your buggy off the wall, or dismantle it to store it. Good idea though.
  3. If it's that easy, i'll order one tomorrow!!!!!!!!!
  4. Sorry, unfortunately not.I just happen to read it in a mag lying around at work.
  5. Read an article in an American Mens Health mag awhile ago for kitesurfing excercises. They recommended push-ups,pull-ups(chin-ups),that exercise where you lie on your stomach and lift both your shoulders and feet of the ground(don't know what it is called).I've found these to help alot, especially after i did my back in.These helped to build strength back into my upper body/back. Hope this helps.
  6. Bullets,as you've probably read, do not generate the lift that blade/firebees do.However, it depends what you want to do on your board.I've recently bought a 3.5m bullet to go with my 2.5m bullet, and love them both to bits,. The pull isn't as vicious as my 4.9m blade, so it allows me to experiment with things like riding toe side.I'm sure people out there will knock the bullet, but a 3.5m bullet on a bar and a mountain board in good wind is an excellent combination for having some fun. IMHO
  7. I managed the same thing(toe side)just last week also.Like you said, what a great feeling. This i did with my new 3.5m bullet on a bar.I love that kite
  8. I agree with rouxstar. Learn to fly on something smaller first. when i bought my 4.9m blade a few years ago, didn't realise the power it had.It scared me to death.I got slammed against a post after being dragged for about 50-60m.Didn't touch the kite again for about 15 months. Then i bought something smaller, learnt to control both the kite, and power, now the 4.9m blade is not a problem at all. I have subsequently bought both 2.5m and 3.5m bullets.Great fun. They pull like freight trains. But the power is not as vicious as the blade. Hope this gives you some help. Fly safe
  9. Likewise my mate two days ago. 15stone, 2.5m bullet, attention distracted, off he went. 6ft up. Who says they don't generate much lift!!!!!!!
  10. Hi there, with the size of kites you mention, a 50cm will not have enough leverage to turn the kite. You will usually require a bar about 70cm long. (These smaller bars are designed for use with kite surfing type kites, as the lines are attacted to the kite at the very end of the tip, therefore eliminating this leverage problem.) Regarding the depower line, with RAM air kites, the fwd/power lines are attached to the bar ends,(giving you your left/right turn control) and the brake lines are attached to the ctr depower line, which in turn can be attached to your harness, or as flexi do with there new kites, to a safety reride system. Therefore, as you move the bar up and down, so you are applying/releasing the brake. Hope that helps.
  11. Have bought a kite from here. Didn't pay VAT on price of kite, customs got hold of it and had to pay VAT on value of parcel. In this case import tax on £40, instead of VAT on £156.You do the maths!!!!
  12. Was flying my bullet yesterday and noticed a creaking noise.I think it's just the noeprene moving over the leader line.
  13. Hi there, have got a 2.5m bullet, and am waiting for a 3.5m at moment. Can tell you that they pull like a freight train. Maybe something to do with the shape/design. But the pull generated (not lift) is such that larger sizes may not be required. My own opinion. "I ain't got no authority"
  14. Hi there. If you get your hands on hte flexifoil powerkiting book, it has it all in there.( and no i don't work for them, or sell there stuff!!!)
  15. Thanx for input.Have always been a big flexi fan, hence the blade/bullet.Have had a firebee, wasn't too impressed. Will certainly look at the PKD buster. Thanx again. Anybody else?
