Theres life in the grove forum again!!! Yeah you broke one of my trucks - you're jinxed! Went out and found me some local flying sites and some other flyers. Streatham Common - Fairly clean wind and a nice slope to it (the fairground isn't there!!!) Purley Common - Further away, but big and flat, 21 football pitches. And a good gathering of flyers there. Yeah £300 is what I paid with Virgin....

Hello all, good to see a few posts from the old crew, I've done exactly NO kiting since moving to London, due to lack of time and haven't yet hunted out a good spot. Been doing a load of climbing though, because its easier to do - no real fuss involved... Looking forward to joining Dom out in LA for a few weeks of kite-surfing... Been looking at the costs involved with learning paragliding, got to get myself some of that in my life at some point, about £1k to learn and £2k for a glider.... May have to delay that for a while.... Roll on Middle Wallop...

Hallo.... Doms still riding, nearly there..... www.thegaba.com Decision to move to London was a bit of a spur of the moment decision. Been back living with parents for a few months, friends were looking for a house and asked if I wanted to join them - so went for it.... Jot a good job a week later so all worked out nicely. Don't move in till the 12th, all the others are moved already and I've been going up the last few weekends. Nice house and looks like theres a lot of grass about :-) Google Maps Don't think I'll get a chance to do a grove session before I go, but once I've found my new flying spot I'll invite you guys up. If anyone is in London and in need of a place to crash let me know....

Hallo!!!! Long time no see!!! Moved out of Ipswich back down to Colchester so haven't made it to the grove for ages!!!! And now I'm moving to London so its gonna be a long old time between grove sessions!!! Whats with all this kitesmurfin? I didn't think you were keen on the idea Dan? Hows it going? Good session - Think I’m finally loosing my 'Handles' stance and get used to being harnessed! And the Trampa deck should improve the stance too!!! (As soon as they pay for their website so I can order one) Been messing about with the multi-shots - unfortunately the images it takes are quite small, didn't really get anything amazing on camera and merging the images is tougher than I thought - only way of perfect results is to cut around the persons outline in each image!!!! But I think its going to be a good effect once we get some sweet tricks on camera. Here’s a few efforts though - will setup some more web space when I'm at work Monday so I can post the rest of the photos. Will probably end up buying directly from Trampa or ExtremeKites but nothing beats checking the item out in the flesh, that way I can have a stand on the different boards and see which feels nice....

What is KiteWorld like these days? Haven't shopped there for years, last time I did the guy was excellent but the shop seemed very disorganised and was a way of funding his own kiting rather than being a good business (and who can blame him, if I owned a kite shop thats exactly how I'd treat it - my own personal kit bag) They stock Trampa's?
