Interesting, as a lot of disabled people who use electric wheelchairs have converted Mercedes vans. I wonder what the landlords answer to them would be?. I would ask them to define what constitutes a commercial vehicle to them. Iff their marked parking spaces are only car size and your vehicle is large then that may be the reason. It could be snobbery as well. I used to get asked by residents and the manager not to take the access bus into a certain housing complex in north Leeds, they didn't like the noise it made (explaining that without that noise, they would not be going shopping didn't cut the ice). Point well made, I was refering to the general populace with regard to the increased violence and not in anyway commenting at what happens at schools. Me too- sorry for the hijack.

Did anyone get to play murder ball at their school? This was a 1970's thing at our school. It was played with a medicine ball and two opposing teams in the gym. The idea was to get the ball and touch the opposing teams wall with it (within a 5ft square box painted on the wall). Two rules, no biting and no hair pulling. Ball could be kicked, iff you wanted broken toes or more common picked up. It could be used to smash into your opponents face, kicking and punching were allowed between the tackler and the one with the ball, fantastic game.

Don't we? Can't remember regular stabbings and shootings among the youth of my day coupey, no drugs either. We took our punishment, (and gave it) still respected the teachers and got on with life. Right off my soap box now:) Forgot the school initiation for 1st year noobs-head shoved down bog, then taken to boot hill at the back off the school (on top of which was a raised metal drain cover). Iff you didn't struggle they could throw you over the cover and down the steep hill, struggle and you landed on the cover. Come first snow just when you thought it was safe-part two-cornered by the gym and pelted with well compressed snow (ice) balls.

Cowboy type ben sherman shirt, drainpipe rupert bear trousers, flouresent socks with black bands, either lumberjack boots or Royals (shoe) with segs placed so they protruded a bit from the toe and fishtail parka. OH and black eye most weeks, all boys school with teachers who weren't afraid to put the boxing gloves on (preffered method of discipline over the cane for the male staff). Except for one science teacher who had two pieces of wood, 3ft piece called captain kirk and a 2ft piece called mr spock. All noobs always went for the shorter spock (which was a solid piece of oak and stunned the recipient, kirk was pine and not as bad).

Like it, good track too. My partner has done dune belly boarding and that was mad, sand in every hole:). Looks like it could be a good challenge. The more I watch videos like this the more I am convincing myself that I need a depower..

Trying to get my "mending" broken arm moving a bit more before a trip to the physio on Tuesday. Who I am sure will push it further than I think it will go. Moving the strap position to accomodate winter boots on my mountain board and replacing it's bearings. Dreaming of the day when I can get out with my kite again. Followed by a trip to the local pub to check out the women dressed up for the halloween party.
