    Selling my Rage 1.8 to fund towards a Talon trick kite. Brand new. Never used it as I brought it after breaking my leg and I thought that I would ok. My leg struggles flying the 1.2 sting, so the rage has to go. I'm looking for an easier way to still fly kites.     Sounds like we maybe getting a few of us together soon then that haven't flown together before. Maybe people will look at trying the other disciplines... stackers, revs, trick kites and maybe even single liners. Looking forward to be getting out there.

    Just keep your eye out for free listing weekends on eBay, unless someone snaps it up here soon. Just remember to stick an extra £30 on it to cover costs if you take the eBay route. Good luck with the sale

    Ended up selling for nearly double the original buy it now price! Went for just over £138!!!

    My blade story: When I had my little incident nearly 7 months ago, I'm not sure what was really at fault. I've come to terms with it being pilot error. Wind was 15mph with gusts up to 25 ish, but the gusts were rare. Had the rage 2.5 out for a bit then got the blade III 4.9 out and jumped on the board. Had a great time zipping back and forth. Then I went for a turn, began flying the kite up the edge of the window to the zenith and bang! A good 40mph gust hit and I shot up into the air, people around me said I went well high and was still travelling at a good speed. Down came the landing and it went wrong, so I tried to go into an army roll. Thought I had just dislocated my knee.... I had, but also destroyed my tibia at the knee end. Doctors told me it was one of the worst breaks they had ever seen. 2 months spent in wheelchair and a further 4 months on 2 crutches. Now only need the one crutch.

    And paulie_amoose, if it was £30 I'd ask you to pick it for me! I'd have a new bar and lines and could make a nice tent with the kite

    Cheers for the advice. I'll leave it well alone then. I'm not allowed land traction after a bad wipeout last year, but do fancy another go at kite surfing at some point. I'll keep looking and start saving!

    Well someone has bid £40, so the £70 buy it now is gone. Wonder how much it will go for??? After reading all your comments I'm glad I didn't take a punt at it, and I didn't have £80 (cos even though stoke isn't that far from leicester, its still more than a tenner of fuel) And I hadn't checked out the seller before I posted this tread - they don't look good!

    I'd hope they would send you a new replacement and then they can sort your knackered one out with flexifoil.

    I'll agree with the sting. Only size I didn't really like was the 3.3. 1.2 little pull in 15-20 mph and not flown the 1.7, but the 2.4 was a cracking kite for learning. And if you son gives up then you have a high wind kite!

    Really wish this had been posted early August. Great advice Zimmer, my blade put me out of action big style and still can't walk! If its gusty send up a tiny mote or go pub instead. It's easier that A&E
