Although I'll be slated for this from every rev flyer... the Chinese copy revs are alright. They are well made (materials used are quite as good). If you can get a good rev sle second hand with both leading edges then I would go for that. I'm no more likely to sell my Chinese copy rev as I am the real revs.
The biggest problem with kites from China is the lines and handles. I hear pansh have sorted out there lines now, but not sure about there handles.
As with all kite disciplines you will end up owning more than one in the end.
Personally for static flying I'd put up a dual line power kite, trick kite, rev or a single line kite.
For jumping, Scudding traction I'd go for a quad line power kite all the way.
