  2. Oh sorry, kites are the 2009. Im serious about the condition too, i have had them out no more than 3 times each. I bought a full quiver of lei and never bothered with the foils again. Anyhows £100 is never going to tempt me
  3. Hi all, in the begining i was intent on landboarding but at the same time i bought my kit my missues bought me lessons for kitesurfing, i have not left the sea since I now have OZONE Frenzy FXY in green (lush) in sizes 7+11. Kites have been flown no more than 3 times each. 2 X Bar and lines (one never used, still in packing) the other a max of 6 times. All in brand new condition, comes as new with repair kit(s), bags(s), Leashes etc. These are in my house, i bought them new, they never got used. I may sell them as i have a slight kite addiction and its getting out of control. What would be a reasonable suggestion on price? Cheers D3.
  4. Rothwell and Taylor (if i remember rightly) annual policy with kiting and wintersports included for 2 people £57.00. bargain.

    Tear in bladder

The tear is 2 inches. Its a little to big to inflate the bladder first - which is what i would do with a puncture. Worry is around fixing it, inflating it only to find the bladder has addtional stress points around the patch
  7. To fix this problem is it just a case of joining the two edges whilst bladder deflated with a patch, then inflating bladder and strenghening the join? Help appreciated. I have repaired puctures before but a mate has gotten himself a tear so a little stumpped. Cheers D3.
  8. Good man
  9. And any responsible kiter would have insurance. Bad enough to have accidents but to hurt somebody and not be insured - that would be stupid. Id rather you not risk closing my local spot for the sake of a few pounds!. Get insured and read the bloody signs.
  10. Any pics?
  11. + 1 for above. Follow the wind

    Wainman Smoke

    The Gower

Llangenth is the place mate, about 15/20 mins from 3 Cliffs. Seriously nice solid, long beach. Access is through Hill End Campsite (£3 parking but you can use your ticket against anything you buy from the cafe - best for breakfasts). lots of kiting of all descriptions, stay north of the small river (not a river as you'd imagine but you will see what i mean - look right once on the beach) Have fun D3.

    Go Pro Cameras

Just got one of these badboys and now looking at keeping waterdroplets of the lens. Has any body used 'Rainex' (normal use is for car windscreens) Does it work also for the camera or will it damage the casing? What do you use to keep the picture perfect? Cheers for your ideas D3.
  15. Ban dogs from beaches!!
  16. I wish to put forward a motion: Lets ban dogs from the beach. Dam things always leaving a mess on the beach, peeing on kites/bags, chasing buggies/shadows/landboarders. Not all dog owners are responsible. On another note: Always wondered why we dont have signs to inform other beach users, ie dont stand downwind, keep a clear area of 50 meters and DONT alow your dog to atack/pizz on my kite!
  17. You could buy a Mystic Gear Box, which is for kite equipment, then stick your snowboard in it (it 1.5m long). But i doubt the physics of sticking a kiteboard into a snowboard bag will hold.
  18. So i opted for Adrian Flux, 2 grand of kit cover and saved me over £200 on my premium, nice
  19. Go wherever the wind takes you . Never been one of those 'us vs them' types, the way i see it, if your on a beach doing something otherthan watching eastenders, your onto a winner!
  20. Who do you use for motor home insurance? Recently converted a van for kiting and now looking at insurance - its not cheap:eek: I dont mind paying but only if the company will cover my kit in transit/whilst parked at the beach, obviously nobody is willing to insure against wear and tear. Who are you using? Any recommendations? Cheers D3.
  21. So now your single? I wonders why. lol.
  22. Westward Ho is my local spot and works on a NW, W (onshore) SW, crossshore on a North and South. Kite area is at the opposite end of the beach from the slip, past the life guard hut. Tide comes right upto the pebble ridge so no kiting 2 hr before/after high tide. Good spot with plenty of space, surf/land and buggies allowed.
  23. Then you have some messing about ahead;) As you know how to pull through your bladder i wont teach you to suck eggs. Its basically a lot of messing around - try to keep the bladder flat as you feed it through, then, inflate a bit, massage the struts and LE, inflate a bit more, massage some more. Eventually, you win.
  24. Is this a 1 pump system?
