I have had a Speed 4 8m (standard cloth) for nearly a year now and it is now my 'go to' kite for both land and water. It took a session or two to get used to it but now I like the way it handles and wish my other kites were the same. I sometimes fly in quite light winds as it turns easily with control - on the water as well and I have brought a light wind kite-board to give me greater use of the kite (mind you I am not heavy!). Easy launch - hot in light wind or from the side (with no pre-fill) in stronger winds.
I have made no mods - not even checked the mixer yet. Bridle is waaay less complicated than my Unity. Have not really used the front line safety as always land at the side on one brake line
Have read the specs on the new 12m+ kites and they are different than the 8 and 10 (extra bridle set etc).
Thinking of adding a 10m to my quiver as well.
