  1. It's no surprise that you guy's had a great weekend. A little wind, a wicked location, camping, camp fire band bash, booze and a BBQ just to name a few tings. I was so close to making the trek, but................twaz my lads first birthday on Saturday. If the forcast had of looked a little better...........prolly would of just got him a bigger prezzy. Hehe. Glad it all went swell.
  2. Not sure if I'll make this one. It's my daughter's 4th birthday that weekend. Might head up to Stanley on the Sunday though if ppl. are doing the same.
  3. This could just be the motivation I was looking for. Really do need to learn to stay up on the board. I have enough trouble body dragging back to my board without the fear of sharks in my head!! Hope that girl is on the way to a speedy recovery:)
  4. Careful out there guy's!! http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=717268http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=717268
  5. Thanks for the tips guy's Today I demo'd an 07 Liquid Force Recoil 136cm. I was amazed at how different the ride was in comparisson to my old Skywalker board. The Recoil was super easy to initially get myself up and going from the sitting position and I was blown away with the speed at which this thing moved across the water. Living down in Tassie, I am limited to what boards are available to demo. I must admit.....I was quite taken by the Recoil board. I am now leaning toward a 08 Recoil ( latest model I think ). Any feedback would be awsome. Lee.
  6. Hi everyone I am looking for some advice regarding replacing a lost board. My old board "which is by now half way round Tassie somewhere " was a 144cm 07 Skywalker twin tip. I weigh 60-65kg. Been kiting for around 12 months. At the bottom end of intermediate scale I suppose ( can stay upwind but not too much jumping action yet ). Mainly kite in fairly choppy waters with minor wave action. Have an 11m & 7m Slingshot T3 ( which I love to bitz ). So......what I was hoping for was some info/help on choosing the right board for me ( Brand, size etc ). I am after another twin tip with decent foot bindings and a handle. Something well suited to the chop and intermediate jumping. I really want a board that is going to be suitable for my current skill level and for any progression I may make in the next couple of years. I should add, this exact post was listed on Seabreaze too. Hope it doesn't offend anyone Any help would be wicked. Cheers
  7. I know it's a long ways off still........but I am already just a little excited bout the Oz Day kiting weekend/week. Hoping to cram in heaps of session's before then though. Wanna be able to get out there in the waves even if the wind is at 25-30 knots. I hate sitting on the beach watching you pro's having all the fun!! Think I'll do some wind dancing for 20-25 knots max. prior to the event. Fingers and things crossed I should cope with that ok Oh and if anyone wants to hook up for a sesh. 0448 472 743. NW Coast. Taking 3 weeks off over Crissy!! Car pools welcome. Lee.
  8. Nice snaps Leese. Keep up the good work!!
  9. Hi ppl. It's Lee from Devonport here. Nice to see Tassie has it's own kiter forum location now. Looking forward to mastering this wicked sport I have gotten addicted too. Just got me a new kite, so it's all or nothing from here on in. I'll be pro in no time . Yeah right! Looking forward to catching some wind with ya in the summer month's Ando. Cheers
