Good thread. Ok been kitesurfing since Sept 2012 But I will say I had been powerkiteing for 7 years before on PL Reactors ( hand full of a kite but great fun ) and a buggy. Also did alot of sailing, Can't quite get the hang of landboards but now I can kite surf I will give it another go.. I did tick off one of my todo's very early on.. Ride a storm.. 6m in a Force 7 after only 2months of kitesurfing. Was the best buzz of my life!!! Aim for this year as I progressed quite quickly so my aim for this year is to smooth out my turns. Get some air ( bought a Flexifoil Force so that shouldn't be too difficult ) Keep trying the up wind kiteing Staying safe.

Hi I have my 2009 11m Best Waroo for sale, black and white one.. in good condition, no repairs from memory I will check it. I am only selling this great kite because I took up the recent offer from Flexifoil to upgrade. So a really regreatfull for sale as the 2009 Waroo really is an amazing safe, fast and reliable kite.Took me ages to find this one as well http://sphotos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/s480x480/8191_537536069602502_243732880_n.jpg Totaly perfect for learners to intermediate flyers. Huge power when you want it, let go when you don't and it sits there in the air. re lauch in the water is easy. I may regreat selling this kite but hey ho I am moving into a new brand to try. £275

Guess what!!!!!...... 11m Force on the way :-) I got a new bar already, ok not the new one. But a NEW out the box hadlow ID bar and lines. To go with it.
-
personal taste I guess. As for light winds, why where you out? and on what? I go out on a 13m waroo 07 I have to go right up on the nots on the side so as to make it turn quicker once that was sorted it's great in light winds. Kiteing at QLD Gold Coast on a 9m was bang on.. oldest kite in the air didn't stop me.

I may have bitten the bullet on a new flexifoil Force 11m My first non Best kite I have had. I have had Flexi foil before in traction kites on my Flexifoil buggy.. but never a LEi kite. Just waiting for the feed back from FF.

EDIT !! I may well be selling my 11m Waroo from 2009 as in the video..above I may have bought a new kite, it's all up in the air at the mo.. ( not ment to be a joke up n the air ) I would be looking at £250 which is very fair as I have taken the bottom end of Cowboys correct pricing of waroo's the 09 over the 08 07 is a step above. The 08 is a great stable kite and rides smooth in high winds really good, but the 09 with it's tweeks is just that bit more powerful I found and suddenly the real chance of learning some big came about! I am sure it could be done on the 08 but the 09 I found it was ready and waiting to show me what I could do more!! I think riders of Waroo's will agree with me on this one the 2010 kite just was a HUGE step back which is such a shame! let me know I have not put it up for sale anywhere I have only mentioned it's in the pipe line here to you.. so no rush. I AM SELLING MY 09 11m Waroo £250

Got to be honest the price of new kites is just mind blowing.. I can't see this lasting. I don't see many new kites out on the water when I am there.. Mainly the new kites are shop riders, team riders and also the odd London peep that has more money than sence.. which is great cos you get their number and call up in a years time and buy it for 50% less LOL.. I rode up in Black pool at Christmas and I have never seen so many old kites up in the air.. that was a refreshing change because it ment there was nothing wrong with the kites if it's looked after! I may regreat not buying the new kite at 50% off but until I ride one I can't say.. don't forget buying secondhand means that some one in the chain buys new so your are supporting the new kites. I think the kite companies may have to supply direct to cut retail price. But it takes one brave manufactor to do this as they then will cut all ties with the retailers. A very brave move but one they may have to do. The day new kites come back to £699 a kite rather than £1100 will be a day worth celebrating.

I was going to buy one of these.. I may regreat it as I was offered it at 50% of new price.. Its so difficult to buy a kite you have not tried out.. even if you return it I feel bad if I used it and sent it back.. I will wait and I guess get a used one in the future if they are as good as they say.. never mind one day I might be able to afford a new kite.. but when they are £1k man I have 100's of things that need money spending on. before a new kite :-(

I fly all Waroo's I was told years back 2008 when i wanted to learn to KS to get a waroo 9 and 13 and your be fine.. Well I didn't do much with it ( 13 i bought in 2008 ( 2007 model ) ) and I started on the water only last year about Sept. So 5 months active on the water.. I used my 13m 07 which is great but I needed to speed up the turning then it was really great.. then I got a 2008 09m and that had the fast slow.. as I like fast turn I saw what a great improvement that was, turning was fast and as a higher wind kite it really performed well.. keeping me up right and not in the drink.. Even took the gusts well.. Then I felt the gap between the 9m and the 13m was too wide so I got a 08 11m and WOW!!!!!!! every thing changed.. so much so that when a 2009 11m came up I sold my 11m to a VW mate to learn on and I was hooked the 09 11m is not really for learners as such, but for what I am getting out of it really starting to explore jumps and real speed across the water it's like chalk and cheese. I am now at the point that I am thinking of what's next!! I am toying with a Flexifoil Force ( new kite new model and is ment to be good for jumps ! ) but I am thinking I might just stick with best.. I upgraded recently by buying a bar and lines from Cowboy ( here on this post ) I have yet to use them but having learnt about set up more I think I will see an improvement on the way the kite performs over the older bar and lines so I am in for a whole lot of new learning.. As much as some people knock the waroo I can't fault it.. I really can't and trust me I have tried so hard to push my self, the kite has been great.. here is a video of me on my 11m waroo 09 at Blackpool on a horrid Southerly which was hard work! I am at that point 4 months into kitesurfing I have lots to learn still but I don't think I could have got this far with out my set of waroo's 9m 11m & 13m I'm not going to mention my 6m Best Guroo I took out in a Force 7 and had 3hrs of better than sex fun!! I was worried about how strong the wind was esp as good riders where just sitting in their vans watching and waiting for better conditions.. but it was amazing fun !!
