  2. I've discovered a smallish place in Dudley, just off of the Birmingham New Road up from the big KFC... a bit of waste ground. Quite hilly and not massive... not good for buggies I suspect.

  10. So we just look for a big pink thing in the sky right? That's it?
  11. How was your weekend? I spent most of it suffering with a stinky head cold... not as deblitating as man-flu but enough that wherever I went I'd leave a trail of lung butter. Not good for running around in the wind with a "streabig doze" :(

  18. It's an event in Wales in 10 days or so over that weekend I think. I'm afraid I'm not gonna make it either, so you won't be totally alone I'll be heading over to the Lickeys or Sutton instead I reckon Riff:cool:
  19. That's cuz he's very brave. I was wearing my new knee pads and I'd have winced but he just grinned (seriously I thought he'd hurt himself but thankfully not)
  20. Hi mate, glad to see you're still around. How are the knees from that quick flip you did on saturday evening? I felt that from 20 yards away Hope all's well:eek: Riff:cool:

  24. My old man married a Russian girl who at 33 is still stunning
  25. At the risk of playing devil's advocate, I'd say try something else. That's based on my (very recent) experience. I've only just started kiting (august in fact) and started with a 1.4 Buster, as recommended by a friend. I was seriously considering a 4.0 Buster as a 2nd kite but Dan (I think) at Powerkiteshop.com told me to try a 3.5 Pepper - he said he'd sell me a Buster if I wanted but said I'd do better with the Pepper. He thinks the construction of the Pepper is better since the Buster's slightly older now and to be honest, he even advised against the 4.5 Pepper. In doing so he screwed himself out of £30 odd quid because the 3.5 Pepper's a lot cheaper. I have just taken my Pepper out at the Lickeys and it had me all over the place, I was scudding and dragging and had a great workout (Kite killers are wonderful!) in pretty gusty conditions I love my 1.4 Buster, but I feel I've made a good choice Cheers Riff:cool:
