  1. Thanks very much.
  2. Hi all I was wondering if anybody knows of anywhere or anyone who snowkites near Uppsala in Sweden. It's about 45km north of Stockholm. I am moving there this year and am hoping to do some while I'm out there. I know that it is done in the North-West, but that's quite far from where I will be. Cheers
  3. Does it come with handles or a bar?
  4. Hi all. Im moving to Southsea tomorrow. Got all my kite buggying gear packed. LOL. I definitely want to join the power kiting club. Im going to be doing a degree in Computer Science. Everyone here seems to be doing something involving computers which is weird. So I guess I will see some of you at the fresher's fair hopefully.
  5. Hi all. I'm moving to Southsea tomorrow. Got all the buggying gear in the van along with every posseision I own. LOL. Really looking forward to going to uni down there. So where is the best place for kite buggying in portsmouth and surrounding areas? Mat - Definitely want to join the power kiting club, that will be awesome. Hopefully will see you down the fresher's fair.
  6. Hey folks! Long time no speak! Got back from my travels in Europe last night, Went to Prague, Vienna, Bratislava and travelled round Slovakia and the mountains, was awesome! I'm moving to Portsmouth in a couple of weeks for uni, gota go down this weekend to find a house! It's gona be awesome. It's going to be amazing to be living by the sea, I'll be able to go buggying all the time with the perfect seaside wind!! wooo hooo! Hav'nt been out in the buggy for a couple of months, doubt I'll get an opportunity to before I move to Pompey now. But if any of you guys fancy coming and visiting me in portsmouth we should go for a buggying sesh on the beach. Port Solent is the place to go apparently. Let me know if any of you are going out flying in the next couple of weeks and I might be able to come.
  7. I'm up for that. I'm going to Newquay 23rd - 30th July. Spending the week buggying, body boarding and drinking! Should be great. Had my last ever exam today and its my 18th tomorrow, so celebration time for me! Going to Wimbledon tomorrow too. Woooo Hooooo!
  8. I wish I could go to WSM with you guys! bloody exams. O well. They are nearly over. Going to Watergate Bay in Newquay for a week at the end of july (23rd-30th), so lots of buggying to be done T-shirt looks pretty good Jim. Thumbs up from me. How much they gonna cost?
  9. Not finished yet, 6 exams 2 go. Just got a week off til my nxt exam. Finish on the 27th June, b-day on the 28th so gonna be celebrating then. After that I'm up for goin to WSM, at the end of that week. I can't go at weekend cause of work tho. Week after I'm helping out with this Yr7 residential trip with school to the Forest of Dean. Then weekend after that I'm going to Oasis concert in Milton Keynes. Cant Wait! Wind looks like 10+ for Friday onwards, so might be worth a go.
  10. Alrite guys, anyone wanna go out buggying sumtime this week or early next week, give me a shout and we'll have to meet up. chars
  11. Yeh they gave me a hook type spreader bar with the harness, which was cool. But it's no good on the harness line with a plastic coating, it just shredded it so need a roller. Sadly no kiting bird, was my mate jack who took the pics. However, am on the hunt for a kiting bird! LOL.
  12. Harness is excellent, but will need a new strop and a roller spreader bar^^^^. Posted that last week bout how I hurt my arm. Lol. Elbow pads wouldn't have helped on this occasion.
  13. You guys seem like you been having fun the last few days. Havn't been out since thursday when I hurt my arm, but hope to go to Wallop on the Monday probably with my mate, so will have to meet you there. First exam is on Monday, but next one after that aint until 7th june, so might squeeze some buggying in then. Bloody exams are a pain in the arse. O well, will all be over at the end of June.
  14. Nope, the field u r talkin about is the Henry Box school field behind my house, which has a big fence around it now. It aint very good there cos it is surrounded by houses, so wind is real gusty.
  15. Went buggying today on my local field in Witney! Was INCREDIBLE, really windy, possibly a bit too windy but I gave it a go and it was the best I've ever buggied, was able to go up and down the field at speed without stopping, and was going almost fully upwind!! But, had a bit of a scare, did S**t myself ever so slightly! :eek:LOL! I was going along fine, then suddenly huge gust of wind, ripping the kite from my hands, and causing my right arm to be pulled into the path of the rear wheel. My arm got wrapped around the back axel and the skin was being rolled into the wheel!! OUCH! When I looked at it, I was convinced it had to have been broken, cos i couldnt feel it and it was bent back really bad! But luckily it's not broken, just aches a lot now. On that note I packed up! lol! Apart from that it was awesome. O yeh, and my harness line is no good on the hook spreader bar I have. Hardly runs through at all, so ended up having the plastic covering shredded today, so I shall have to get a roller spreader bar me thinks. I've attached a couple of pics form today so you can get an idea of the size of the field, theres quite a bit more field behind the camera though. LOL. PIC 1 PIC 2 PIC 3 Shame bout the cricketers at Woodstock, if its free Saturday afternoon though I will go down if my arm has recovered. Otherwise we could go on the Witney field, but thats got a cricket square too. But might be OK. Problem with that field is its surrounded by trees, but its preety big, so its not too bad! Can't go to Aberavon because of work and I have my first A-Level exam on the Monday after. P.S. The field is in Witney just off Burford Road, by the tennis courts and football club. MULTIMAP PIC just up from bottom left hand corner, you can see the tennis courts to the left of the field.
  16. I think im gonna go up my local field this afternoon to try and do a bit of buggying. Dunno bout this weekend, maybe saturday afternoon up woodstock?
  17. Anyone coming to weymouth kite festival this weekend?
  18. Can you attach a spreader bar to a climbing harness?
  19. Libre buggy harness is the one, comes in S , M , L , XL and XXL! I bought mine last week. they are £70 eveywhere! But I got mine for £50 from ATB Shop in Swindon, they have a website, but you need to e-mail them about the harness, they will deliver too. They stock most stuff and will order in pretty much anything kite related for you, only takes about a day usually. Tell them that "Richard Rance" recommended them to you though please. http://www.atbshop.co.uk/
  20. Quick question: I've got a harness line for my new harness and was wondering how long I should make it for use with my 3.5m Bullet? Any ideas?
  21. Yeh theres gotta be a couple of good beaches nearby that we could go to if theres no space on weymouth beach. Hopefully the wind will be good, there wern't any last year! I think my best chance for buggying will be on the Saturday. If you come down give me a ring!
  22. The kite festival itself is on Sunday and Monday, but I'm going down Friday night and coming back Monday night. It's not a festival for powerkiting activities really! But have seen people down there with buggies and landbaords in the past. Lots of stalls of all the main kite shops from round the country there to buy all kiting stuff. Let me know if you go down and we will have to meet up.
  23. I'm going to weymotuh kite festival all weekend! hopefully going to find some space on the beach to try and do some buggying and test out my new harness!
  24. Ordered a Libre buggy harness today and an extra long dowtube for my buggy cos i got such long legs! lol. Hopefully will be able to pick it up 2mora and giv it a go this weekend.
