Well it seems that CBK or Chris Bull to you and me is coming to Hunstanton. It seems that there are no fixed plans in place with the council (yet) but there will be a shop and a school. I believe they're asking for a dedicated teaching spot with the possibility of beach wardens to increase public safety. Is it Hayling Mk. II on the way? If any of this is not correct, feel free to right it. Link to the Kiteboarder thread. www.kiteboarder.co.uk • View topic - CBK Hunstanton

Hi, Anyone know what is going on with the Hadlow Freestyle board? I heard that there was meant to be a new one in a few different sizes meant to have come out a couple of months ago, but doesn't seemed to have come in the shops yet. Sounds like most the shops have sold out of the 2011 months ago with no new stock on the way. I need a new board and would like it to be this. thanks

Sefton Council are now issuing permits for use of Kitesurfing at Ainsdale Beach. Your details have been passed onto us by the club and added to our Kite-Zone database. If your insurance is up-to-date you will automatically be issued with a Kite-Zone permit through the post, this permit is only valid when held in conjunction with a current relevant insurance policy. According to our records there are a number of members who do not have valid insurance and therefore will not be issued with a KZ permit. If you have recently renewed your insurance please contact me with your current insurance policy and you will be sent a Kite-Zone permit. From 1st January, if yo…

For various reasons I am looking at a light wind kite this year. The leading contenders appear to be the Blade Fat Lady, Slingshot Turbine, Ozone Zephyer and Cabrinha ( how much!) Contra. Has anyone tried all three? Does anyone own one of these? Care to share some upsides or downsides? Cheers

Just a bit of fun. Over the years we've had many topics that have split the ranks. What were they again? I'll kick it off. If you want to comment on a topic, feel free. 1. Board Shorts. Yes or NO.

http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/8576/brochure.jpg There has been some serious development and testing for the Speed 3, it had a lot to live up to to surpass the Speed 2, it is almost ready http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/609/2speed10.jpg Here are a few notes I can share. 1. Sizes will be 19-15-12 (nothing smaller) 2. Infinity bar is standard on serial kites & deluxe models 3. Speed 3's per size will be faster than Speed 2's ""The 15m now really feels like a small kite in handling/feeling, but not power"" 4. More float (still getting my head around that one) 5. Total redesign of aesthetics. 6. Available eta early to mid September http://i…

You've been kitesurfing for too long when: - You mesure weather in meters (7m weather, 16m weather); - Flapping flags make you horny (as well as moving windmills); - You don't need windmeter to tell what's the wind speed and what's the gust; - It doesn't matter how big is your 'kitesurf gear room' - no way you can walk freely in there; - You hate wetsuits; - You don't understand small cars - just don't get them anymore; - Considering moving out of your country when there is no wind for more than two weeks; - Always wondering how come setting up takes 5 min, packing up - half an hour; Do you have anything else to add to this list?

A 17-year-old kite surfer was in a critical condition in hospital today after he was apparently caught in a freak gust of wind which blew him into a wall. Ross Milton, from Oldham, was kite surfing on Aberavon beach in south Wales when he was blown 70 ft into the air in a "freak accident'' and landed near to Franco's Fish Bar on the seafront. He had been taking part in the amateur competition of the British Kite Surfing Championships in Porthcawl during the weekend. A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "It looks as though it was a freak accident and he has been blown out of the sea and collided with a wall not far from the chip shop.'' The teenager was tr…

concave is what everyone rides. convex seems a much more reasonable option considering how all other watercraft perform. why do we have concave as the predominant design? 2. what does rocker do to a kiteboard? i have been playing around with pieces of flat plywood of different shapes and thickness. it seems that the flater the faster with no real difference in turnability! i`m very confused that my piece of ply should work just as well as the board i paid $800 for. help........

Ok, so after much deliberation I've decided to post my thoughts about a recent 'incident' at my local This is the cut down version of events Basically If you have many items for your kitesurfing, i.e a couple of boards And you decide to use both or some or many of these items at one session. Be aware of a pitfall and lack of morals from other users of your choice of beach for that day The day in question I was out on my TT and came back in for a rest & fluids. When I went back out, I chose to use one of my surfboards as the waves were getting nice to play in Stupidly, I left my TT on the beach. Like I always have done for the past several years. Like…

Ok. So most people see something and think "that looks like so much fun, I would really like to give that a go!" No one is born amazing at something. We all start off in pretty much the same starting point. Now me for example. Haven't been flying kites for to long and certainly haven't kite surfed until sunday (31/07), but surely if I can keep my kite out of other peoples way and steer clear of them to try and not upset anyone then more experienced flyers can do the same and exercise some self control when it comes to keeping there mouth shut and not start gobbing off to someone who is clearly trying things for the first time, so to make their experience a little more e…
