Please place a post on here for me and an indication of the type of kiting you have carried out.

If you check out the new Lincolnshire thread, you'll see that I have been invited to a consultation event by Lincolnshire Tourism to see the visitor destination masterplan on 19th September. I met the guys carrying out the initial visits by chance and asked them to make sure they included my favourite hobby - they suggested thay wanted local input so we swapped cards and the invitation has followed. Don't know how much influence we may have but some involvement is better than none.

At this stage, one of our Lincolnshire Kiters has suggested that we put a list together in order to be able to quote some numbers. I won't be passing on any names - but please make up the numbers if you've enjoyed our beaches and we'll do what we can to have all forms of kiting included in the masterplan.

I've flown the south side of skegness many times on landboard, and would have done mabo etc if i'd had more than the train as transport. When the wind is blowing on shore the flying is so much easyer than the crummy inland winds.

I've also flown many times recreationaly while learning, my one and only spanking came from my 1.5m bullet on skeg beach :o

I've also flown skeg beach in zero degrees C in january, the place looked post apocolyptic desserted as it was, but it was still fun.

Combine a few hours kiteing with going around the grabby machines and the penny pushers for the rest of the day and its a very agreeable trip out, the hour on the train to get there not an inconveniance at all once set up on the sand. :)

A kiter friend of mine who can drive often takes us to sutton on sea to kite (Halfway between skeg and mabo i belive?) because it is his preffured site for a board up and down.

Best of luck House, hope good things come of it.

had some of the best times on mable beach

DCK as a group go twice a year, once the week before the holiday season starts and once the week after the season ends, been doing this for the last 5 years

We use mable beach as much as we can, and have a holiday home there to use as a base for weeks and long weekends to try and get as much flying in as we can.

Sods law it's either not windy or cross shore most the time we are there tho.

only just getting started but i love spending time kiting on the beaches down the lincs coast, and there arent many i havent been to!!

id like to think that there will actually be somewhere for me to board/buggy when i get good at it, otherwise, it's just a poor show to be honest. we've already lost public access to slipways, we dont want even more honest sportsmen alienated

As I live about 15 miles west of Sheffield I can get to the East of West coast in under 2 hours. I have flown many times at Cleethorpes and once or twice at Mable. Never flown at Skeggy, didn't know you could till now.

Where in Skeggy do kiters meet and fly from, and are there any restictions.

Its nice to have a choice
