And the mains...unplugged, not just turned off....my dad and half his street lost their comps because lightning hit something connected to the plumbing system of a house and zapped all of the machines out via the earth connection.... Miaspa Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 Had some great strikes on my way home from one of those sessions which started with my 8.5 and ended with my 3.0. Three lines of fork lightening at the same time was pretty impressive, and the rain drops were huge first time driving in the rain wearing glasses and had to take them just to make sure they weren't magnifying the drops. louisemarson Posted June 21, 2007 Report Posted June 21, 2007 Last time we had lightening the guy down the road had his chimney blown and part of his roof blown apart and his electrics melted. Suffice to say he wasn't happy. Luckily no broken chimneys are roofs this time. Quote
