Kite surfing's too cold for me, Brrrrr! I liked the look of it in the summer but didn't quite see the appeal at the Ho! the other weekend.

I was cold enough at WW last Sunday, it rained for most of the day so i've invested in some Sealskinz gloves (wimp). My Blade failed to get off the sand when it was soaked but my Ace carried on as normal, even when it loaked like a wet nappy. 2nd place in 2 buggy races & 1st in 2 board races.

Pitted against a 4.9m Blade 111, the Ace was a lot more faster:eek:, this was obvious on a clean straight run so wasn't down to pilot skill, very surprised.

I've just spent over 70 quid on buggybags website  :D

Happy Birthday Dan.

Are you out today?

Do you mean me?

I hadn't planned to but could possibly be convinced.;) Depends on when tbh. I'm supposed to be re-installing our PC today 'cos it's so full of cr@p it's running slower than a tortoise with 3 legs! I might be able to get out in the afternoon.

Have you got tortoise porn as well then

Martin, straight line speed, the pansh is, as you saw faster than a blade 111.

But there are other factors, inc wheels, tyre pressure etc, it seems you got the set up right for WW!!

I've done the first video, which is 250+mb, I'm seeing if i can reduce it to fit onto youtube. Does anybody know where I can host it full res???

Flying today, we think it'll be too boggy, and don't fancy getting muddy

I'm not going out, i was just interested. I might get out in my meal break for 1.5 hrs. later.

There are websites that will allow you to store 100mb for free but people will only be able to download the files. Not sure on the Youtube limit, i think it's 50mb.

Hey Al, been looking forward to your vid...

I put the full version of mine on that Megaupload.com. The file can then be downloaded and viewed as your finished job. The other place that I have been putting mine with better quality than the normal places is vimeo.com.

It's not brilliant, as i'm waiting to get FCP (once a mate has set up a server I can get it), so it's all basic stuff. Once I get it, i'lll be doing something better...

hence there's nothing fancy in it. But i am learning to line up the footage to the music.

Time to start thinking of the music for the main video...

Get a board! ;):p

oh the video will be on youtube shortly, just search for sotonflyers - look at the latest video

How did you squeeze it down to size then?

I can save in different resolutions, and have a youtube selection.

I can't remember how I did it on ulead, but it is possible.

Hey Martin - that new version of Ulead has the option to upload straight to Youtube. Click on the 'Share' tab at the top, select 'Share Video Online' and then select 'Youtube'. You can then select the quality to want to upload it in. Not tried it yet myself but I think the idea is it does all the converting to correct sizes, etc for you.
