Wind wasn't what was forecast and then went a bit mental as Rob and I left the beach. We left stuey there who had a blast. No four liners on offer, if you had asked a few weeks ago I had my little yellow 2m sammi going! Quote

I have a friend instructing out there atm:) Was it good out there? But I've reverted to beach bum mode. Going to look at getting my instructor course. I really want to get to the pointy I can get up and plane consistently rather than one in every now and then!! And I have my new scary toy to try too!!! One other question for you though Elaine.. What model awnining did you end up with on your bongo? A friend is looking at getting one for his and I said I would ask as I recall that you found the first one you had was a bit average, but the second one was significantly better!! Any info would be appreciated, so that he can get it right(er) first time In any case back on topic..... Time for the Rippehr to come out and play!! Quote

Probs is khyam is twice the price of the easy camp! But it goes up and comes down in quick time as it's one of those unfold jobs. If he's local and wants to pop round to have a look at it let us know. Quote

Themmings Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 Total pants - Stuey/E - I just spent ages writing a PM to you folks re. the BBQ - but I lost it so I will blurt out some sh!te sad news to all of you. Since April I've been having some work on the back of my heel - had a pain and swelling there since Jan - anyway, fast forward to now, it was a cancerous lump (rare form) and I'm stage 4 terminally ill. Que the jaws dropping - don't worry - mine has dropped on many occassions as I've gone through the several operations since mid April and received one piece of ****e news after another. Anyhow, I'm on here to flog all my kiting gear. Feel free to pm me, call me if you wish. Thank you all for taking me under your wings with the whole kiting thing. We've all shared a laugh when the wind has and hasn't blown. It looks like I may end up going down the chemo route - but this is to contain and provide a better balance/pain free situation as opposed to cure. But, I'm still here now - so watch out for my FS. ad and help me bump my kites up. You lot know I don't do things in halfs and all my kit is mint and pretty much top of the range! God bless you all.
