oc1rob Posted January 1, 2008 Report Posted January 1, 2008 In theory YES!!! and the wind is certainly looking good for Sat, but it is seriously SW, which will make is cross off ish at old hunny and a just cross shore at hunny. Anybody know what the tides ar up to?? And for those of you who have not heard Alex has had a bit of a mare of an Xmas period. He was admitted into hospital on the 27th with 'flu ish' problems. This apparently then turned out to be a chest infection / pneumonia. Other complications resulted in some surgery as I understand it but was due to be moved out of ITU yesterday and back to a normal ward. Only found out as I bumped into Roy in the hospital foyer as I was going to see my Gran Get well soon Alex! Quote
stueyboy Posted January 1, 2008 Report Posted January 1, 2008 Blimey!! Best wishes Alex and family and I hope that you get well soon. Quote
oc1rob Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 Heard from Ryan this afternoon that Alex had been discharged and is now back at home. Quote
adamb Posted January 5, 2008 Report Posted January 5, 2008 Happy New Year all (is it too late to say it yet??) Sorry to hear Al is poorly - get well soon buddy if you happen to read this. May visit the field tomorrow if the Westerly shows up, bet its a a tad damp though. Got plastered in mud today out on my bike and think the few weeks off together with the hanging on end of a cold hasn't done me any favours - I'm shattered now. New bike build is nearly done and looking good will post some photos when complete. Decided to finish it as a singlespeed, tried to ride in 32 x 16 gear for a lot of today and I can tell it'll be hard work - spinning on the flat and grinding up the hills How far has yours got Rob Quote
oc1rob Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 How far has yours got Rob Still a pile of bits in the garage at the mo!! need to re-accumulate some post christmas funds LOL Quote

oc1rob Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Me hauled up in bed too..... Been off for a week... prob not going back to work for another 2 weeks Matty Saw your status of Facebook that you have shagged your back... What you been doing to deserve that? You been 'bumpin uglys' on top of the wardrobe again and fell off?? Quote
matty_cross Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 On 2nd January I got diagnosed with Luekemia.... Hairy Cell variety... had chemo all last week and knackered my back from being in bed. Ok now... just knackered/0 strength etc... Spent all November/December having tests... 30+ blood tests... CAT Scan, Ultra Sound, Bone Marrow extracted... At the moment I'm Nutrapenic... zero immune system. Hopefully chemo got rid of **** white cells and my bone marrow can return to normal and in next 2 weeks my immune system can rebuild... Determined still to go boarding in March. Was on the phone to Alex for 30 mins today.. He's fine... He's off the fags, not doing to much booze and has a weird obsession for vasts amounts of fruits..... LMAO Anyway me off for another sleep Matty Quote
