Guy W
just outta curiosity who was flying the 9m waroo on perdi today? how was it?
Tjah1087
That was me! Gusty as hell, used the full range on it and it was still a handful at times. Fully depowered and I could throw 10ft static jumps in the gusts, but fully powered only just moving on the board during the lulls. Were you the guy with the 3.3 Radsail? Guy W
no i was playing golf and saw you flying. i fly there quite a bit though. rarely is it not gusty unfortunately.
Tjah1087
Yeah, but at least there was some wind! Hasn't been any for weeks.
Guy W
good point. it was a good evening, dry and windy. what else do you fly or is it just the 9 at the moment. i'm tempted to get a waroo/bularoo
Tjah1087
Started with Fixed bridles; bullets, blades, and small radsails (me and friends all shared), but needed silly wind for them to be fun, so went for something bigger. 'roo is my first depower, looking to get another for lower wind use as it doesn't get too fun till about 16mph. I'm very happy with my 'roos. Not flown any other depowers other than a 12m Cabrinha so can't give you a comparison, but you're welcome to have a go if you find me. Have flown over at wolverly(on left after the lock pub) & springfield a coupleof times, been a bit busy to fly recently (had to remove cobwebs from buggy!) my cousin flys at wolverly high school a bit
Tjah1087
I'm (hopefully) heading down to perdi this afternoon. As long as these scattered showers don't prove to be thunderstorms.
Tjah1087
Any news? I heard whispers Perdi might be flooded, can anyone confirm if this is true/false? How is every one else coping with the water anyway?
Tjah1087
Perdi is fine... one puddle and the rest is nice and firm. Was there for a storming session yesterday... 18mph gusting 25. Got some nice big jumps in!
windy
Perdi is fine... one puddle and the rest is nice and firm. Was there for a storming session yesterday... 18mph gusting 25. Got some nice big jumps in! I went passed Perdi on Saturday, just gone. The allotments that run along the the main road were submerged. You could only see thetop half of all the small sheds. They looked like an armada of half sunk model Arks.
