Looking at the wind forecast it looks like tomorrow might be offering a good morning / early afternoon session in a NE... never been to Avon beach before. Anyone up for a visit?

At a stag night tonight, but may need to get some fresh air tomorrow.

Will check here in the morning to see what is planned.

what is the spark / ouch method?

Work on the premise that sparks aren't good, smoke is worse, flames are a disaster (run away). If nothing happens - touch it.... if you go ouch its still wrong...........

Oh yes, swearing is allowed at all stages of the test procedure

Hi this is Spudley's wife.

Paul has just called me from the stag do that he has been on for the past 11 hours (still 3 1/2 hours to go!) - you can imagine how good the conversation was!

Anyway, just to let you know that unfortunately it would appear that he will not be in any fit state for kite surfing tomorrow.

Feel free to let him know what he missed out on while he was suffering ;)

I am visiting my sister in basingstoke today and she wants to try out my kite, any suggestions where is good to fly?

Sarah

Sorry Sarah, missed your post. The wind is at its worst for the normal Basingstoke spot (North Easterly)so it is wherever you can find with enough space that you think can work. A bit late I know. In future the best spot around is part of the crabtree plantation, just by blackdam ponds and the M3.

New kite arrived, should arrive home to find a new bar. I will be out on Tuesday evening to test it out and set up the bar if anyone is around no wind but should be a slight breeze.

I'll bring my pump. Bout as much wind as you'll get I reckon. Guaranteed windcurse I reckon.

New kite + holiday

I've got a demo on the way too.

Realised this morning that I went a bit too mad yesterday. yes I managed to get out of the hole I dug but I'm a physical wreck today. EXCELLENT. I'll do more this evening.

2008 12m RISE (venturi) on demo. All welcome to try. hoping it will be here for the weekend but forecast is POOOOOOO

1. Thought I'd give it a go as I cant make my mind up. Will I get over my new found bridle predujices?

2. i know of a couple of others looking for kites up north so I'm doing my duty at the same time.

Spuds. Had a wee chuckle at previous posts. Imagining the conversation trying to get Tracey to log on and convince all is well. Top drawer....

Remarkably coherant as well when i consider just how much drinking was involved during that session.

I love this been guilty of it myself. From whos point of view were you coherent?

DM urgent request.

Can you ask your gardening guru how I improve a lumpy clay soil? Some (strangely only some of it) of my hole is a lumpy clay stuff, difficukt to break down. I read somewhere that mixing in grass clippings might be a good idea. Got some compost too. S'pose sand is an option but I dont really know.
