I must admit that it was strange to be out on my 13 Instinct in 20+ knots and feeling very comfortable with nearly no depower applied. Hopefully with experience it will all come together with the 9m, was using my big low wind skywalker board which was great close to shore on the smooth water but as soon as i headed out into deeper water with chop I found it really difficult to keep it steady.

The honeymoon was great with plenty of wind, infact I was reluctant to head out on my kites for several days due to the high wind speeds being recorded.

Anyone up for an evening or sunday session if the weather is good?

WEEKEND:

Anyone up for anything? My thoughts are an early start Saturday and visit to Hayling/ Whitterings. Colyn is not around for this but maybe able to organise something else. Low tide 9am, possibly a good breeze constant through the day.

Any other ideas?

Seems everyone has lost interest in Crabtree........all i see on here now is posts about the wet stuff!!!

Ive been out a few times at crabtree but its always been during the day as the missus is doing quite a few days supply teaching. Has anyone been out during the evenings/weekends? If so i may try get out a little bit more as im getting bored of solo flying!

Still get up crabtree dave, just had a lot of bad weather lately.

not sure if i'll make the coast this w/end Dj. Am off mon/tue though so will keep an eye on the weather and try to get out. Not going to rule out a redbull/pro-plus session this w/end either, will see what sort of night i have at work.;)

DM, only just checked the boards. If you made it to the coast hope all went well.

Would anyone be up for an evening trip down the coast this week? Depending upon the day I might be able to make it, will know what my work schedule is tomorrow. Poole has some wind forecast for the next few evenings according to windguru.

EVENING SESSIONS :p

Checking forecasts etc. now.

I see Marko's and possibly DM's up for it - anyone else?

I have most evenings free all summer now guys.

conditions looking a little light this evening but I'll keep watching. It is supposed to pick up! radio forecast also said wind was on the way!

Got a new (for me) harness. Seems to fit Ok (first impressions) after a couple of laps of the flat last night. Got to figure out how it works now. This thing has more bits and bobs on it than you can think of. I'm expecting to find the kitchen sink somewhere

I have given up on tonight - wind looks too light to be worth the effort although Mark has got a fat boy board.

Wakeboarding is always a second option.

Wind looks better than when I checked yesterday likely to be around 15+mph.

But I am not prepared now.

Catch up with you later.

PMing you with windguru details.

maybe. have dog and need to pack for weekend but, still, if I push myself.

Damn dog escaped today. Right little Steve McQueen. Had to pick it up from the ex neighbours. Damn embarrasing.

Anyone plans for the weekend? (Apart from Colyn who will be in Wales)

Trip to the coast or crabtree?

I'd be up for a sunday session at the coast if the weather is good. Also Tuesday evening next week is looking very promising down poole.

yes always up for wet stuff in the evenings :D Lets plan it right this time!!!

have a good one guys. Can someone please make sure David gets out. Poor boy misses too many opportunities - I reckon he gets moody afterwards ;)

Starts making false claims about being 6'12" (see harness thread in kiteboarding!)

Hoping for 9m weather or my replacement bladder arriving in time or both :)

Oh yes does anyone know a Simon? Posted on a nother forum but lives in Basingstoke area. Just started (lessons to IKO 2)

Planning two trips now - Saturday and Sunday, we shall see!

Not heard of Simon, what forum was that? I seem to read most.

Might as well welcome the two guys from QMC trying to kill themselves on an 02 Airblast!:D , and also Michelle? on a little sting.

Always good to see new people around.

Right then, back on the money. Long but underpowered session on Saturday. OK though but a little frustrating at times.

Tomorrow evening. Anyone up for it?

Current forecast is good and it needs to be. I've only got my 9m with me this week. :(

Could well be up for it col. Will be off all week.:D

Me and Dave had a great session at Hayling, early start saturday with good winds and even a bit of sunshine.:)

Cool.

I'll keep an eye on the forecast and give you a ring later / tomorrow morning maybe.

Where do you fancy?

Anyone else?

Oh I've had a daft idea. I blame Marko. I might consider a bit of a kiting holiday, next year as it will take that long for me to sort my life out but it also gives any interested parties time to plan, save, beg whatever. Me thinking Rodrigues or somewhere else exotic. Anyone tempted cause I doubt I'll go alone (not my scene)

Posted

would like to try hillhead, or hayling was good.

what time do you get off work?

dont think any amount of begging will see me taking exotic holidays on me own.
