adam_h Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 any got/flown one??? worth buying or stay well away??? Quote
Oceag Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 I've got two. The 4.5 and the 6.5. IMO they are well worth the money but it does depend alot on what you plan to do with it. I wanted something a bit tamer than my 6.6m blade for learning to bugy with and so far so good. They are not lifty kites but, as I found out, a good gust will see you air bourne. They are stable kites and have a good pull right to the edge of the window and tend not to have any nasty suprises waiting for you. The stuff sacks are not that great though but I use a back pack anyway so I'm not too bothered about that. Quote
adam_h Posted November 1, 2005 Author Report Posted November 1, 2005 from that, i'm going to order one But.....gotta sell this 1st Quote
jordangpboy Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 I have the 2.5, cracking stable little kite. with a enough wind it will drag you round the beach! I have also used the 3.5, nice and stable with enough grunt to buggy/board. I would like the get a 1.5 and 5.5or6.5 for the windy/non-windy days. And they dont cost an arm and 3 legs! Quote
adam_h Posted November 1, 2005 Author Report Posted November 1, 2005 2.5 Peter Lynn Pepper or 2.5 HQ Beamer II Both the same price, which should i go for??? Quote
Big air Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 Neither get U-Turn Helium. Most stable kite I've flown and excellent in a buggy. Look at http://www.u-turn-kites.co.uk/shop.htm Quote
Mouthwash Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 Get a Helium, came first in recent mega-test of low AR kites in Germany. Super stable, virtually unluffable, really well made and pretty powerful. Comes in fixed or depower versions (depower is extra). Quote
adam_h Posted November 1, 2005 Author Report Posted November 1, 2005 i was looking more at price, the u-turn helium 2.2 at £118, while the beamer II and the PL pepper at only £90 Quote
jeffrington Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 And you don't get lines and handles with the helium either, but, you get what you pay for and personally I would go for the helium, my next kite will hopefully be the 1.8 for mental high wind days. Quote
adam_h Posted November 2, 2005 Author Report Posted November 2, 2005 looks like the peter lynn has just been ordered Quote

Rollllin Posted November 20, 2005 Report Posted November 20, 2005 i have the peter lynn pepper 3.5 m ... my first kite... i looked at the pros and cons of other prices in the range... my first kite ... no regrets whatsoever... congrats on the peter lynn.. i am sure you wont be disappointed. Quote
penfold Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 I would go for it , got 5.5 love it,son has 1.5 pinch it for those windy days though hehehe Quote
hankster Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 are they as stable as a buster,a great buggy kite.also unluffable Quote
kitesurfa Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 i have a 4.5 pepper cracking kite Have also flown a 4.5 and was impressed with the turning speed and how well the kite keeps it shape during the turns. Quote
Donk Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 got a 2.5. Superb. Get the 6.5 next week... woohoo Quote
kitehighland Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 got the 1.5 2.5 3.5 peppers for teaching with, realy nice kites. to be honest i dont think that there is much difference in actual handling between any of the begginner / intermediate kites out there. it comes down to price issues and quality of fabrics. if i had a larger pot of money i might have gone for an ozone fury or samurai, but i got all three peppers for £300! Jonesing4Wind Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 bump for absolutely no reason.... Quote
Morgan Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 I'll see your bump and raise you a double bump. Was looking at the peppers a while back wouldn't mind a quick go with one myself as it looked like a nice kite and at a good price to. morgan. Quote
