  1. i saw some dudes using them on the coast when on hols in orlando they cruise at 20 mph top speed of nearly 30 i asked a lad for a go on his i was up but coz i didn't have a bar & kite kept falling off.
  2. i think what your getting at is if your buying an lei buy 2005 onwards coz pre 2005 will probably be a c-kite not for the feint hearted, foils too buy 2005 & onwards especially ozone frenzies coz i think they just didn't make the grade fact i suppose i've had a few frenzies in my time & from 2005 onwards they just got better.except there was a debate where ppl were saying avoid 2006 coz 2005 were better & ppl were doing things too their 2006's like tying an overhand knot in the flat part of the leaders so the kites would fly like an 05 a load of bollox,i bought an 06 frenzy 7.5 from phat dan & its one of the best frenzies i've possessed.
  3. get a stainless steel corkscrew they're only about £2 something in a pet shop as they're a dog stake really, dont get one from wilkinsons they're cheaper but not stainless and if your on a beach they will rust.
  4. why not get a blade 4.9m not the mk1 & defo not the mk11 i had mkII 4.9m blade my 2nd kite after a 3m pkd buster, and it nearly put me off powerkiting for life,a gust of wind & it will lift you without wanting they're a very powerful kite and will try to hand your arse back on a plate.in fact i dislocated my shoulder flying that plus a few supermans i think the mkIII 4.9m is the best of all as do a lot of ppl on here will tell you.

wheres the cheapest place to buy 25m heavy duty lines so i can jump without fearing them snapping its a bego so about a 1/4 of the weight will be on the brake lines ?i prefer ozone lines to flexi's.
  6. when pansh 1st came on the market ok they were cheap but not upto scratch & i never had a good word to say about them, now they've ironed out all the problems and after someone giving me a go on his 5m you can put them anywhere in the window within reason a tiny bit of brake & it just sits their waiting for your next move it was pretty windy that day and got a few decent airs, on one the lad who owns the kite said my feet musy of been 8 to 10ft off the ground also now they're very well made and still cheap.
  7. i think they were just neewbieis to be honest,i've also used viokites, peter lynn waterfoil 5.7,stupid amount of power for size again wgy they only come in 3 sizes i spose.and theres a quite a few lads who use c-quads on the water and land buggying, landboarding and god do the they get some big airs on their static jumps.i had a go on one 5m somming then found out lynn actually make a 10.5m fook me the power that must produce.i'm gonna try kite surfing on an advance 6m viper next but need a lot of wind.
  8. does anyone on here kitesurf with a closed cell kite apart from a flysurfer ? i ask coz i took a mac para neptun 600 now the wind was about 18mph & ppl on 12m or 14m coudn't get up or maybe for a short while i had a great time.
  9. do you want to sell this lovely kite maverick or what if its sold already or you need more dollar pls let me know mate.
  10. defo my little ozone imp npt that i use it much in the winter she comes out.
  11. i take it the bego 400 is sold or £130 isn't enuff ?at least let me know freeman
  12. a much a we talking for your bego 600
  13. hi freeman i'm really wanting your bego 400 did we do business b4 on a viokite anyhow i'm skint atm the mo & the most i can offer is £100+ p&p worth a try anyway
  14. freeman my old mate i think we've done business before on a viokite or something anyhoo i' m really wanting your bego 400 but £130 inc p&p is my limit i'm a bit skint atm its worth a try though
  15. i'd love to take this kite off you but £180 is a bit above budget £140 and i,d rip your arm off
  16. ady what kite do ya fly i think i saw you at the hub about 2 weeks ago or more
  17. in fact i think mk1 sammi's are better than the mk2's
  18. all this you need at least a 5m kite to jump and float is not true as i fly bego 400 that'll give you lift and float and is only 4m the smallest kite to achieve this,i find the neptun 400 even better its the bego sister kite which is a closed foil cell and i prefer closed cell kites coz they just dont luff even if you try with most of them.
  19. i agree with you squarehead666 why put a fixed bridle on a bar you gain nothing & lose lots of control and by that i mean any fixed bridle even though some come new with a bar from new ???? why i don't know but you'll lack control on braking and the kite will be slower thru the air imho
  20. for those low wind days i fly my 4m bego or 6m they'll both fly in a gnats fart and even get nice jumps from the 4m or bego 400 as they're known the only problem is with the 400 25mph of wind and you cant hold it down & the 600 15mph of wind and unless you weigh 20st odd its nigh impossible to hold down i can just and i weigh 14st & a bit.
  21. if my memory serves me right the start of famara beach as far as you can go by car a car park there is a sign stating no kite surfing, but walk round to the tip of the bay you can kitesurf there but to me it looked too bloody dangerous gusty winds big waves and rocks!!
  22. thats the way forward dyneema lines on a spool choose what strength you want,or 2 spools one for power one for brakes.
  23. mick you make me laugh do you go paintballing some w/e's or just stick to the plastic gun and rubber sucker bullets lol but the w/e in a top london hotel sounds better and sorry to hear about your hip is it painful?
  24. i managed to achieve my biggest jump yet believe it or not flying a 5.7m peter lynn water foil the kite with the masses of bridle like flysurfers!at a guess i reckon 25ft or around that mark.
