Russel Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 A free bump on me Just a quick update from the SPFlyers thread. I know a few of you occaisionally come over and fly at SOR with us, you may or may not know that we have been in discussions with the council about getting back into Sutton Park, well basically two weeks ago after a very fruitful council meeting it looks like we're well on our way to getting SOR as a council recognised flying site. With this in mind can I just ask that if any of you come over and fly at SOR can you wear helmets while your buggying/boarding. thanks for your co-operation in this matter Quote

Riff Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 I've discovered a smallish place in Dudley, just off of the Birmingham New Road up from the big KFC... a bit of waste ground. Quite hilly and not massive... not good for buggies I suspect. Quote
Newbie One Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 I've discovered a smallish place in Dudley, just off of the Birmingham New Road up from the big KFC... a bit of waste ground. Quite hilly and not massive... not good for buggies I suspect. Is it on the left hand side as you go down towards the island at Toys R Us or on the KFC side?????? Reason is I pass it every day going to and from work and I've wanted somewhere else to try when I finish early on a Friday. Quote

gixxer1 Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 Hi chaps. Been slack since I had my kit nicked but having an early one before the football at ounsdale tomorrow am. Trying new kit out. I was thinking of possibly heading over to SOR, are there any restrictions I need to know about aside from the helmet? Also where exactly on the Sutton Oak road is the spot? Is it separate to Sutton Park? Cheers Quote
staffordGeoff Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 gixxer click on zotty's sig or http://www.multimap.com/map/places.cgi?client=public&lang=&advanced=&quicksearch=sutton+oak+road Geoff Quote

spanielspartin Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 just getting back into kiting after an 18 month break. moved down from stoke and now live in wolves, so my knowledge of the area is very limited. any recomendations for flying sites? i know of Sutton Park, haven't been down there yet but when i get chance i'll give it a go. Went upto Cannock Chase earlier today at the Pine Cafe, no wind but managed to get my kite set-up for the 1st time without getting any tangles. (does any1 still go there?) Quote
Zotty Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 morings lads.... sutton park is a no buggy board zone at mo (official ban!) but sor is fine.. you'll find sor just off kingstanding circle (sutton oak road = sor) easy to see from the road.. as for insurance and lids.. yeah is a good idea as we are recieving attention from the same people that banned us from sutton park,, has been a few meetings to do with securing sor for us and lids and insurance was mentioned big time,,, cheers lads and see ya soon.. dont forget the fancy dress xmas bash/fly in on the 18th of dec, ya more trhan welcome and get ya heads thinkin about what ya gunna wear Quote
