Moroni-10
Anyone converted their landboard to a 'Carveboard' ? Looks like channel trucks rather than skate trucks are the order of the day.
andy666
Interesting. Looks like a longboard deck rather then a mountain board I'm not sure what the benefit would be on the road, because the mountain board tyres would have a lot more rolling resistance then skate wheels
Moroni-10
They pump the tyres hard for smooth surface. Do you think if I put super soft bushings in my skate trucks it will work ?
andy666
Softer bushes in skate trucks wont be exactly the same. Even with no bushes skate trucks won't flex that much, but it will give you enough flex to get the idea and have some fun. make sure you report back how it goes and get some video. Moroni-10
Think I need to fit 'wedge' riser blocks to get a better angle on the trucks. I tried softer 90a venom bushings, yes it turned better but not to the extent I would like.
bakersdozen
You'll need a lighter deck than a landboard, as andy666 said - more like a longboard deck. As for trucks, channel trucks from landboards would work, just take out the dampners from inside the springs. And set the adjustment to the inner most slot if they can adjust. Here is an old MBS landboard I did this to and added oversize skate wheels to. andy666 and Moroni-10

Moroni-10
My Trampa is for kite, and I'm experimenting with my Scrub, but some advice, when messing around feeling which bushings are best make sure no curbs near by. I had an 'ouch' moment and spoilt my boarding for a week or so. Hit the curb,( going at a snail pace) , and bindings held me tight and went over twisting my ankle , I thought the bushings were soft enough to let me miss the curb, but no, they weren't . One of those 'look stupid' moments in slow motion, then trying to quickly, ..ouch, get up, looking around to see if anyone saw my embarrassing moment, then with a 'limp' limp, try to get into my van, then scream with foot in air holding tight to ankle. Ok, I'm a softeee, I'm just glad it isn't broke. For a while I am sticking with bindings only when kiting, ( kite helps ease gravity) . Longboards with no bindings, is where I'm at, when not kiting. ? Mfwetu and andy666
