king.module Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 bit out of touch with what's hot, what's not... and what they go for. got a complete Ozone samuri II 4m near perfect condition as it's only been flown a handful of times got it new for the Mrs. - she flew it a few times but never really got into it so it's been sitting at the bottom of the cupboard for a few years now - anyone anyone sold one recently/seen one for sale i.e. what's a realistic price? Drizzly Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 I sold a 3.5 Sam 2 with lines and handles on ebay recently got £130 for it. Quote
mick Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Probably between 100 and 150 depending how quick you want rid of it. A little old school for the new breed but a great kite thats just as good as they are now. Quote
Jim O'Hara Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 I bet you could do better than £150 on E bay especially if you wait until it is warmer. That's a great kite. Quote
Blademan Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 ......especially if you wait until it is warmer... I am glad you said that, it makes me feel much less guilty and more justified in my winter kite buying activities.... Quote
king.module Posted February 21, 2012 Author Report Posted February 21, 2012 cheers peeps... bit more than i thought it was prob. worth (which is always nice ) - reckon i'll give it a couple of months and stick it on ebay (personally i didn't think the sami II was as good as the sami I) Quote
zimmer Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 (edited) (personally i didn't think the sami II was as good as the sami I) Couldn't agree more. The mk2 sami was like the mk1 tentatively coming back from a bad injury but never quite having the bottle to do the things it did before. Edited February 21, 2012 by zimmer beetroot pancakes Quote

zimmer Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Oh hell no! I love the 3 and 4 (4.9). I've never changed the setting on the 4, it has always been on the "aggressive bastard" setting. Quote
king.module Posted February 21, 2012 Author Report Posted February 21, 2012 (edited) A bit like a Mk III and IV Blade then ? aye with you on that - mkI 3.3 && 7.2 + MkII 4.9 were the best from the whole range imo Edited February 21, 2012 by king.module and the skytiger HI range still kick ass! Iv flown a mk1 2m (zimmers) and a mk2 3m and i have to say the 2m wins its a nutter of a kite. Stu Quote

Stu no bein funny stuart but what you said is fuckin shite i have my blade on the medium knot setting and its awesome, bit of everything, ive flown it on all the bridle settings and i deffo prefer middle knot, but im sure a guy of your expertise can fly it better than me cos youve been kiting since you were 2 or something like that.... smackay116 Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 If you turn the lift down on a blade its not a blade. Its gutless. And if you want a blade with no lift get a blurr. Im not them most experenced kiter but i know my blades. Stu Quote
