jhn.holgate Posted June 14, 2015 Report Posted June 14, 2015 (edited) It doesn't have much of a connection to kite or wind sports, but I'm happy to have a section for SUP if you'd like to see it here. So, to SUP or not to SUP, that is the question... PS: SUK is Stand Up Kiting. Which is really just kite surfing awkwardly on a giant board. Edited June 14, 2015 by jhn.holgate Quote
gum-nuts Posted June 14, 2015 Report Posted June 14, 2015 You know what I think @jhn.holgate But for those of you that may have missed it... Quote
.Joel Posted June 14, 2015 Report Posted June 14, 2015 I'm giving @gum-nuts a 48 hour head-start to rally the troops Quote
gum-nuts Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 Shows you how much interest there is in SUP it looks like only the 3 of us have voted Quote
jhn.holgate Posted June 15, 2015 Author Report Posted June 15, 2015 I wonder who they were? Give it a few weeks - either we'll get a few votes or this thread will slowly disappear into oblivion.... (good film, that). Quote
jhn.holgate Posted June 17, 2015 Author Report Posted June 17, 2015 Still only 5 votes. Yep, oblivion. Joel, you're gonna need more than free lanyards to swing this. Quote
SoutherlyBuster Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 The replies on this thread are getting funnier by the minute or should that be days .... weeks .... years .... oblivion .... So how many landyards does to take haul a SUP to the beach ..... Quote
gum-nuts Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 SUP dudes! Though I can see some appeal... Quote
Clive Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 SUP doesn't have anything to do with kiting...... If you want to use a big board with a kite it's kite surfing. I'm at a loss to see why it belongs in a kite forum as a separate section, it could fit into general discussion from time to time as required...... If you like that kind of thing.... If you didn't guess I voted no. gum-nuts 1 Quote

SoutherlyBuster Posted June 18, 2015 Report Posted June 18, 2015 I guess you could strap the paddle to the board er um SUP, use the kite to pull you along and if the wind dies, SUP paddle back?? Then it belongs into the kiting section? I guess it really belongs in the gernal section (without a special SUP folder) along with all the other fringe sports we do when there is no wind. Quote
