A bit of a worry when you consider I let him loose with power tools on my spine. :D

Good thing he does people and not cars.

To make me feel even better had a visit from the infectious diseases specialist about the issue tonight. They are drawing blood tomorrow and running some more tests.

10 out of 10 for being thorough, - 2 for freaking out the patient.

Arrgghh talk about an itch you can't scratch.

Lying here in the wee hours of the morning not able to sleep and I have the world's most itchy back and I'm not allowed to scratch it because of all the stitches and sutures.

Enough to drive a person mad. :wall2:

Keen to get home so I can play with all my quadrotor parts that have been delivered while I have been away. :crazypilot:

Got a few bits to finish off my mini quad and a new 450mm quad kit and parts to carry heavier loads.

Should give something to do over the next 6 weeks besides study for my MSCE exams.

Big shout out to Sluggo and Marty for all the Iced Coffee I got this arvo. The little bar fridge is chockoblock full. :D

PS. Been having the strangest dreams the last couple of nights must be a side effect of all the painkillers.

@ Joel: You can bite my shiny Metal Ass :D

Yes it's true folks after a big stressful day which kicked off at 5:30am I finally arrived home this afternoon around 4:00pm.

It's strange to be home after the last 2 weeks I have already had a nice hour long power nap in my own bed, head hit the pillow and I was out like a light until my work mate messaged me that he was coming to pick me up to do some shopping to restock the fridge.

Now sitting down to a feed of KFC, I caved in after 2 weeks of eating healthy low fat hospital food before hooking back into the healthy stuff again tomorrow.

Cheers to all for the good wishes, visits and calls while I was in the house of pain.

Now the next challenge is to adapt to life at home without full movement. Shopping took a bit longer than normal tonight.

There is a reason I'm on copious amounts of pain killers for the next 6 weeks.

At least I can say "Bite my Shiny Metal Ass" and there is some truth to it now. :D

Good thing that Titanium doesn't set off the metal detectors at the airport, but I have an official letter just in case.

Welcome to the "Titanium" club mate. :D:)

Glad your on the mend big fella. Take it easy and make sure you do all the right things.

PS;

Roblukin, has arrived here, so we will catch up and Rob can grade our beaches smooth with his belly.:)

Only 23 degrees here today. I can already hear him shivering.

Sutures and stitches came out on Thursday and the wound seems to be healing nicely, which is a big relief after all the hassles with infection concerns in the week and a half after surgery. Starting to be able to move a bit more freely now as well so it looks like I'm well and truly on the mend. Bit more lucid on the new pain medication as well, so I can start being a bit more active and not so disconnected from reality as I have been for the past week or so. (That hopefully means no more blacking out while on the phone Marty)

Just make sure when his is lying on his back on the beach that he is still kiting and not having a sly nap, as he likes to sneak them in occasionally.

You fellas have fun and Rob don't you lead Chook astray too much.

Nah, we are havin' a fat time. Been out every day, except today as the wind wasn't the right direction. It was plenty strong enough, just that we got fussy and it was slightly across the beach. Plenty of perfect winds to be had this time of the year, so will head out tomorrow. :)

Had a maintance day, to keep Rob up to speed. :)

I sorted out the front end of his van to stop it flapping in the breeze, where he belted a roo.

Got it roughly back into position with a big crowbar, sikaflex, tekscrews and much swearing. Even the turn indicator works now!!

Sorted out all the bearings in his PL buggy.

Straightened the wide rear axle and drilled the retainer holes in it.

(He won't be able to ride it now, as it will go exactly where he points it. :P )

Sorted out a locking point for the bug, when it's on the back of his van.

Cut the tow hitch receiver so the anti-theft device fits over his trailer coupling.

My wife even cooked him a pork roast, with all the vegies along with mangos for sweets and stuff me, if we don't get a message.

"ROB NEEDS HELP!!!!!!!". :shout:

Phones go off, email goes crazy, every important prick in the world is contacted every 5 minutes for a full hour.

Google earth has located him, outside our front door.

He's out testing his personal satellite locator.

Every other visitor just uses the bloody door bell. :P

Glad you’re doing ok Goz.

I’d love to bring the speed buggy to Yeppoon and thought about strapping it to Rob’s trailer, but with his kiting addiction, it would be worn out before it got there. ;)

Good to hear you boys are having a fat old time, but tell Rob to stop picking on the wildlife. :D

At least we know he won't get misplaced wit his new locator.

Looking forward to catching up with you both at Easter. Hopefully I will still have some holiday time still up my sleeve by then, that is if the boss lets me take a break after this 2 months off work.

Geez, could I come visit you too Chook?

Glad Rob is getting some good times in down there. He was a bit restricted here with the lack of beach space and the long walk to get set up on the Lake. He still managed to slide a buggy sideways further than I thought possible on that surface.
