I agree with the other posts above the white background is to bright, however keep up the good work and I am sure you will have this site up and running to most peoples liking but you will never satisfy everyone.

Hard to read, hard to spot where different threds are (as spaced so far apart).

I seem to remember a while back Neil did a thread asking what you wanted changing and lots of people complained that the old theme was boring, dull and needed brightening up. Neil gives it to you and you all sit there crying.

It's different.. Your used to the dull grey. Background.. After a couple of weeks you will all be used to this one.. If it's too bright turn your contrast down on your screens..

 

I like the way we don't have to go to another screen just to change font or put pic/URL/ vid up..

 

Much prefer this change to what fecking facebook have done..

 

oh and i also like the embeded vids.. easier and quicker than loading a new page

Navigating will take some getting used to, as people have already said, further down the line would like an option for a darker skin.

After a few minutes it looks great.

 

It is a little less easy to read now though, but I don't think that the problem is the white background at all, but the fact that the text is so slight. Certainly on a 19" monitor the text is only a couple of pixels wide, so strains the eyes. If the font was a little bolder or larger that would help considerably .

 

Apart from that, it is looking very clean and snappy .

Gonna take some getting used to that's for sure. I preferred it when you could easily see what section the thread was from (on new posts or whatever) because of the extra column with the section name in. Like the embedded vids and the new reply box though, I'm sure I will figure it out soon enough so I'm not too worried. But I do think it looks pretty bland, a bit of colour wouldn't go amiss where the little pics of the boxes are next to the thread title (if that made any sense!)

Am I the only person that likes it? For those complaining about font size hit ctrl-+ and for those complaining about it being too bright either man up or buy a mac,they automatically adjust screen brightness according to ambient light.
