Hi All

Recently bought a HQ Crossfire II 6.5m and its way to powerful for me (Kites got Bigger nuts than me :fool: ) and was hoping to sell it to buy something more suited to me (4m crossfire or 4m beamer maybe) or swap If anyone is interested.

How much could I get for a mint condition one?

Anyone want to swap?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

You may want to keep it, may be a little much for you now, but crossfires are a great kite to move up to.

What are you planning on doing with it, buggying, boarding or just static??

There is no such thing as a too powerful kite, just the wrong wind.... and being a little light on experience.

Hi Pixelpimp,

Welcome to Extreme Kites.

Recently bought a HQ Crossfire II 6.5m and its way to powerful for me (Kites got Bigger nuts than me :fool: ) and was hoping to sell it to buy something more suited to me (4m crossfire or 4m beamer maybe) or swap If anyone is interested.

Curious, where did you buy a 6.5m as your first kite from?

How much could I get for a mint condition one?

$450 - $500 perhaps? It's now a superseded model, the 4.0m on clearance was $390 new.

It may be worth keeping, and buying a HQ Beamer IV that's on clearance as "kite only" and using the handles and lines you have now between the two kites if you're tight on cash. It won't be long once you can handle a smaller kite you will be wanting a bigger one for lighter winds.

Hey PP .... welcome :drinks:

Provided you are enjoying kiting and think you are going to stick with the sportI have to agree with the boys :yes3:

Keep it.

It will be no time at all when you will 'need' that kite .... given the right wind and practice.

Where are you located ?

Thanks for all the replies guys.....and maybe thinking of keeping it now but I have had it out in 8mph winds and it still kicks my ass...will I be able to handle it with time and practice?

I am only scudding at the moment and no plan to buy a buggy as I’m in WA and there is lack of places to do it

How much will you give me for it Dave?

Thanks

For scudding there really are better kites to use, what made you go for the crossfire, was it a store reccomendation (I guess I dont know any stores in WA), or like me did you just buy the first and biggest kite you could find on Ebay :D

How long have you had the kite, was it new when you got it?, any photos.... all this info will help you sell it.

I have a 4m Beamer III I'd be happy to part with.

Your Crossfire II is a far superior kite (though be it not for beginners).

I also have a smaller kite more suited for beginners (1.5m or something) and some other stuff. Perhaps I could trade you a couple of beginner kites for your Crossfire?

If you were to trade the Crossfire for my Beamer directly I'd feel I was selling you short somewhat so I'll see what else I can find that would be appropriate for you.

How are you off for accessories (like harness, Q/R latch, snatch block etc)?

BTW you still need to post another post before you can use messaging, do that then PM me your address and contact details and we can talk
