Afro1599968737 Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 try using the ion; it will be fine for landboarding board from MBS, trampa, GI, scrub are all good and more recently flexifoil and eolo also make boards, you could try them Quote
peter32 Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 I would use the kites you got at least you know them well. Land based helmet is a must and pads if you want. 87kg you will be fine with skate truck set up then your good to go. Quote
plummet Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 what do you want to do on the land? freestyle? freeride? speed? distance? hill? how hard is your beach? Basically the more freestyle you want to do the lighter, smaller board you want. the faster you want to go the bigger more stable board you want. if your beach is soft or not that flash then you need bigger wheels. l_tzachi Posted October 25, 2009 Author Report Posted October 25, 2009 thanks for all the advices the beach where i am surfing has only narrow strip of hard sand (near to the water) all other parts are soft sand. I will practice there and maybe on grass in time to time (looking for a spot). in the long run I am aiming for freestyle but i think for start it will be all -around untill i catch the idea... maybe its realy like kitesurf so it will be in no time but i am not sure. can anyone expain in more details what "skate truck set up" means? I looked in trampa site and there are dozens of skates.. beside the weight which is obvious how do i choose one? is this company is good? Thx again Issac Quote
downbubble Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Trampas are really good boards! Also, you can buy the deck only and put whatever parts you fancy onto it. I was looking at doing this but my expensive tastes proved just that bit too expensive! I will get one one day, but not this side of the credit crunch! Quote
Weasel Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Trampa will be realy good and never break. You would want to choose the right thickness (ply) board for your weight and then choose the trucks and bindings. Skate trucks are the sort you would find on a skateboard, channel trucks are bigger heavier and better suited for high speed. If you want to do free style then you would need the Kiteboard Short with skate trucks and scrub velcro bindings or f3 ratchet bindings. If you need any more help just ask. Quote
Krazy Kiter Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 grab a landboard and just use ur ion. you will pick it up in, ohh about 5 mins. much easier than surfing, you just need to get you posture right. Quote
carltb Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 just remember to stand flat on the board and not on your heals Quote

Dubs Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 If you want to get some creative ideas, head to the pimp boards thread- theres some flabbergasters in there! Quote
joshman35 Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 try using a mbs pro 90 it is likely it will be lighter than ur kitesurf board!!! Quote
Hammer-n-saw Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 Board ? ... TRAAAAMPA with skate trucks and some decent ratchet bindings, maybe some weels n tyres would help too. ....end of Quote
