Franz2000 Just bought his mint 10m Charger, received it on an overnight for no extra cost and he'd already cut me a great deal on it. Rang me up to give me some tips about it too and he's really cool. Top bloke! So, to summarise, if he's selling anything you can buy with complete confidence that it is exactly what he says it is and it'll be with you quickly following payment. High praise from me and everyone else who has dealt with him. Cheers again dude, can't wait to fly this baby!

Must be said I only just signed in last night for the first time in over a year because I wanted to buy a kite .. things got a bit bitchy between some people and I figured I could live without it... but, to answer some of your other posts whilst I'm here; Cleeve Fliers are a dead good bunch as are the Worcester Kite Monkeys (I'm a monkey.... lol) and Cleeve is an excellent spot for flying. Arcs are still awesome in gusts, I love them. If you're about, Sunday looks to be lush up at Cleeve (well, according to XC anyway...)

PM'd you about your Charger mate :-) -
It's true, Mark taught me to board, his son Harry taught me to jump and now all I need is someone to teach me how to get back down! lol

Dark eyes and fangs? Even with a cheeky intake of naughty-smoke that's a bit of a stretch of the imagination! lol What this one has is a stylized spiky X on a black background. Granted, is DOES look good, don't get me wrong. What the old one has is a PHANTOM.... QED, it was a Phantom. So the new one is the Peter Lynn "Spiky X".... @ bartiebat; I just know it'll fly as I'd want a new Phantom to fly, I really do! It just doesn't LOOK like a Phantom should look. I know on these points I ain't alone in my thinking.... And as for the multicoloured versions, oh very dear indeed. Phantom? How? Caspar The Friendly Ghost looks more like one... lol (and a sad little sigh, too)
-
Yeah, sure is a kick in the wallet but what's worse is the complete lack of the Phantom design! Tell me the new one screams "Phantom" at you in the way the original does.... It's NOT a Phanny, its just yet another arc! Fail, Peter Lynn graphic designers, epic fail.... What were you thinking, pinning an iconic name to a generic tribal-type colourway? Bah! :-(

I'm the lucky owner of one of Paul's (CKB) creations. It's LB56 and still seen on the website, ridden hard and often clumsily for nearly two years and it looks just as awesome as the day I unwrapped it! Lovely light deck with loads of pop, feels great under foot but this is the way Paul made it. I asked for that shape, Paul wanted info like my weight etc and he figured out the correct lay up to suit. If you're gonna try this at home kids, you'll need to give these things some thought. I can glass, but getting the flex/pop bang on for the shape of board, weight etc would be beyond me....

@ ViralEye, yeah I think they are dead good and hype or no hype most people who have flown them love 'em. Just spent the whole day landboarding on Aberavon beach and still fizzing inside Slides and floaty jumps on request! Wheeeeee! Winds were a solid 15, gusting low twenties to start so well powered but even when it tailed off to tens I was still having fun so I didn't bother getting the Speed out... Sweeeeeeeeet!
-
I use a cordless leaf blower on mine, 30 seconds and its solid and ready to go! Er, just to clarify I am on about my kite....
-
My first depower was a 13m Guerilla2 and it's a great entry-level arc, friendly in gusts and in the right winds it's plenty powerful and lifty when you want it. After that I got a 15m Phantom and this is my go-to kite when my Flysurfer gets scary! Absolutely love the Phanny, pulls like a train on demand, and the float! Ah, the float.... mmmmm...plus it's a pussy cat when you need a break, I can sit in a chair and roll a ciggy still hooked in! It just sits above my head and when I'm ready to go again I just pull the bar in and I'm on my feet. lol Best bargain I ever had, this kite. Only cost me 185 notes ready to fly.... I can't recommend this kite enough
-
I waited with bated breath for the release of this kite and yes, it is beautiful! But as Andy says, it is pretty but sadly it isn't a Phantom.... It could be any new arc really... The Phanny original isn't just great to fly (and be flown by!), it looks awesome because it has a Phantom design on it! That special Phantom identity is iconic and sadly Peter Lynn missed that point with the new one... a golden opportunity passed by Still, I love the look of this one in black and green, very cool indeed but the other colours just say "an arc" to me. I'll keep flying my 15m Phanny til it gives up the ghost! lol Did you see what I did there?

When I do, I like to listen to selected tracks by Pendulum, Devildriver, Cradle of Filth, Boltthrower, Juno Reactor, Queens of the Stone Age, Muse, In Flames, Pitchshifter, Amon Amarth, Chemical Brothers and Hard-Fi. Anything with a good pounding riff... Mostly tho I love the sound of the lines screaming. Or is that me screaming?

Bah! Those Met Office people need a stiff seeing-to... Last night when I checked it was 15's gusting to 30 at Cleeve and much the same at EKS. Now? miserable 7's with maybe a 20 gust around lunchtime over here... Cleeve has much the same but more gusts. What do they do at the Met? Draw numbers out of a bag? I got all excited too... 7's.... gutted... A day in bed with a book, then? Andy will live to fly another day then, his virgin harness won't hook him into one of my Kites Of Doom. Unlucky (?) mate... Don't think we'll make Cleeve tomoz, Naf's gotta tinker with his car in the morning and by the time he's sorted it'll be a bit late to get there and set up. I wanna FLY! Going slowly crazy... Still, I have a shed load of glowsticks so flying after work is a go-er... small consolation, it's the WEEKEND dammit! Whoops! Tears of frustration are getting into my keyboard...

hey everyone! What's happening on Saturday? Wind is supposedly 15's gusting to 29's... (Met Office) and sunny! Could be a bit bonkers... I'll see what the rest of us WKM mob are up to.... May be a good time to be at EKS (sheep-sh*t-free...) if anyone fancies that instead of being up on the Hill. I'm happy anywhere as long as I can fly!
