Andyfly
It looks like it may be a while before the best part of Lake George is usable for land based kiting On Monday 7th March 2011 I stopped on my way to Sydney to have a quick look and take some pics... There was a large amount of water in the lower part of the lake which was the best place for land based activity. The vegetation on the outer parts of the plain was all green and growing to heights that would cause problems launching and landing kites as the plants there like to grab the bridle lines and would cause drag on the buggy making gaining any speed difficult.... The amount of water and green growth makes me think driving on any part of the Lake bed would be a very tricky undertaking and getting bogged a distinct possibility even for a 4wd. Eluder
I would love to give lake george a fly one day when it is dry. But even than imagine if it ever get full again. Than i might have to give kite surfing a go
