Good day today, not quite enough for my 8m but good to meet you Nick and great to see the bank so dry.

Its looking good for sunday, with a bit more wind as well. 25mph from the NW.

Might have got a better one of you Mark if you had not tried to run me over..

what a difference 24 hours makes

3 degrees centigrade, wind onshore and from 25 mph to 40 mph, very squally and lots of rain and sleet.

The day started so well

http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j132/nicke20/PC274456.jpg

then the first rain

http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j132/nicke20/PC274458-1.jpg

but the hardy ones aren't bothered

http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j132/nicke20/PC274459.jpg

the wind then picked up to near 40mph, Mark had done 39mph, scud slightly slower and myself and steve around 32mph

Now the rain kicked in, scud hid in the mule

http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j132/nicke20/PC274475.jpg

Another squall and it was decided that tea and biscuits sounded a better idea

My 4m Access was full of sand and water, and it was Pi**ing down, horizontal and hurting

Back at the club Scud entertained us all with jolly stories !!

Untill the girlfriend phoned and he did as he was told, "stand like dale winnton"

So to all those who thought it was too cold, too wet, too windy, you where right, but i still wouldn't miss days out like this for anything!

Oh and a special mention to Steve aka UK Speedtraps, he put his acces down in near 40mph upside down, it reinflated flipped, dragged him backwards, lifted him and 60kg of buggy clean off the floor, accelerated him into deep water and yet he came through and managed to fly off under some control mid squall, it was a very scary thing to watch!!

Only me and my dry cleaner will really know just how scary it was.

Glad to hear you are okay.. took me 3 hours last night to get home, never seen the M6 so busy, should have gone the way you suggested but I did not expect to see M6 like it was.

Sweet whats the requirements

all of the details are in the clubhouse ill postback tomorrow, why not come on down and we can show you arround

i assume you have insurance? are you a member of another club?, I think there is a method of signing in another member from another club with a cost of £5 for a weekends insurance. failing that the membership year starts in a few days

Video does not do it justice, but here is a link to the video, no sound as it would have been one long beeeeep!

1.13 is where the bug left the ground for a few feet downwind, you can see I crossed the creek and then jumped back over it. No seatbelt just tight fitting side rails that did the job well.

Well best day of the week :D

bank was dry, offshore wind blowing 12mph and ending up 20mph

and the sand was flat.

I set up with chris only about quarter of a mile out and after exploring to red rocks (wet) and the dragstrip (no good) made my own point to point half mile strip, 10m access and bugger me i couldnt crack 40mph, only got 39.1mph, (my pb is 40.7) as scud would say grrrrrr

we have said it many times, dont believe the weather forecast!!!!

snow, what snow?

Can we fly on bank before the agm?

only if the agm and chillie is decided for later in month the bank will be useable next weekend, but technicaly we are not insured? :(

Yes you will especially as the consensus seems to be to have chilli and AGM next weekend.

I would assume you will have to pay up for membership at old rates on the day (which hopefully wont be going up anyway)
