New snow kite from Gin called the Shaman. It looks like it's meant to be a replacement for the Eskimo but interestingly it's a hybrid single skin with cells on either end to increase stability rather than a conventional foil. It certainly looks very stable in the promo videos. It's available in the same sizes as the Flysurfer Peak 3 but I doubt it will be much competition for the Peak in Australia due to the cost. It'll be interesting to see how the European riders rate it.

It seems the old saying "Speed costs money. How fast do you want to spend?" is as relevant to kites as it was to cars and bikes. For those with the need for speed and the means to achieve it Ozone are happy to help with the release of the new Chrono V3. Too much for me on both fronts but I'm sure there are others on this forum that will be itching to get their hands on one. Details on https://ozonekites.com/products/water-kites/chrono-v3/ On a side-note, the Blizzard has vanished from the Ozone website even though a number of retailer's sites show it as "coming soon" with prices listed. The kite was announced by Ozone in October and it's still not available. Have they run into problems with production, was the media release premature and they're still struggling with design issues, or is it just a stuffup with the web page? Maybe @Kitepower Australia can shed some light?

Really excited about snowkiting this winter, Last year i had a broken shoulder and new born son, so this year im doing double to make up for my lack of riding in 2016. In Preperation:- My wife and work have been informed of my plans to ride lots. I have purchased seasons and resort access passes for Falls creek (because conditions can never be counted on). Lodge bookings have been made, with flexibility. Lots of good deeds and Karma points, which will hopefully be exchanged for great conditions. Share the stoke, so please make yourself known if you plan on riding Falls, post your trip details, photos etc. Enjoy, Karl Lapwood. 2013 snowkite.bmp

The 2017 snow kites are now on Ozone's website. The Summit and Access have had a makeover but it looks like the Frenzy is unchanged for 2017. Sadly way over my kiting budget so I'll just have to drool over the pictures

I haven't used my 8m Ozone Manta 2 for a long long time so it has to go. (plus I need some $ get a new water kite) This kite is basically brand new, barely even bedded in. It was purchased brand new and has been used only twice: - In 2012 for a couple of days in the Cock's harbour area. (trip info with photos here) - In 2013 for half a day on Carruthers East ridge in Spring. Why so little use? Well, I am not a freestyle/lawn-mowing sort of snowkiter, I tend to go out exploring and for this I prefer a two-kite system of a 5m Frenzy and either 11m Frenzy or 15m Summit. Includes, backpack, leash, bar/lines, spares etc Gum-nuts sold a 10m Manta 2 recently for $450 and by the looks of it, that kite had had a little more use than mine. I am pricing this one to sell: Price: $400 Located in Ryde, Sydney
