    Eolo Radsail Pro II 3M

Already own the Radsail Pro 4m which I have had for a while now, and is excellent value.

Needed something a little smaller for buggying, aa haa they brought out the 3m so paid me money and it arrived.

Firstly the rucksack looks a lot more substantial than the original 4, but hey whats a rucksack whats the kite like. Straight of to my local field and set up. First impressions look good the stitching is definetly better, and the bridle is totally different. Shame that the brake line attach line arnt a different colour to the actual bridle (nice shade of luminescent green) as it makes them a bugger to find, Handles still OKish so put my Ozone handles on.

Right up and away , back down the brake line are way to long for my taste,

Take two up we go, it does pull very nicely a lot more than I had expected comparing to the old pro 4, so they must have changed the profile a bit and not to much lift, good foy buggying, moves nicely and turns quickly, though has a tendency to overfly at the top, which the old pro 4 doesn't well not as badly.

Does seem to have slightly better penetration to the edge of the window than the 4.

Overall excellent value for your money.

Might even try the new pro2 4m

One improvement could be and easier way to get the sand out,

Ohh and when / if it gets wet it get really heavy so keep out of that water.

As a fledgling but wingless CP paraglider, I needed something to vent my frustrations on, especially during windy blown out days. So decided that a big kite was in order, after playing with a Gin Yoz in a gusty sea-breeze in Oz last year. I picked the Radsail Pro 3 mainly for its value-for-money factor, and from the average to good reviews it was getting online. First slightly nervous flight was in Kent in 2-8mph winds. It felt steady and responsive in the stronder gusts but really luffed around when the wind dropped. Second flight in slightly stronger winds and it felt better. Attempted a few jumps and scuds, although it probably looked a bit pathetic to the seasoned onlookers. Still, lots of fun. Third flight was a bit scary, on top of Coombe Gibbet near Newbury. Good 15-20mph constant wind gave me a true feeling for what this kite had to offer - the power is awesome, but yes you do need to tighten the brakes in to stay in control / get most power. Got pulled all over the shop, through countless mounds of sheep sh*t. I hadn't had so many grass stains since I was a kid, or since that summer of '93.... Next (final!) flight was local, down at Richmond Park. There's always lots of rotor / turbulence here because of all the trees, but I started to perfect my jumping technique and had an hour of fun with no problems. BUT SUDDENLY... Good value for money for sure, but I was still pretty disappointed when the 'reinforced' bridle attachments failed - 3 of them on the same day! 2 from the centre of the leading edge and one from the outer brake lines. It was only blowing 8-10 mph and I had no incidents to warrant any kind of brakeage, so I was a bit pi*s^D off. However, I spoke to Ricc at Marionville Models, who simply said "send it back and we'll send out a replacement". So I sent it back Tuesday, and already have a shiny new replacement - on Thursday! Now that's service for you. Other retailers take note. This weekend is shaping up to be another "kite" weekend (although maybe a little cold). The prospect of snow makes things really interesting though. I already have a picture in my mind of an over-excited 30 year old, sat on a plastic red sledge hurtling across Richmond park without a care in the world. Apart from how to steer, stop, warm up, explain the broken arm, etc....

My main man Spikee D purchased a Rad Pro 3.0 after the advice of the excellent guys down at skeletoncoast in Colchester. Well I ride a blade III 4.9 as my first kite ever and as you can imagine it's a bit scary at times even for a 34 year old lump of 14 and a half stone (mostly muscle LOL) well we got the Rad out of the bag took about 10 minutes to set it up. D took the handles (well it is his kite so it only seemed fair he had first go) I held the kite to launch it, I'm guessing it was 15-20mph day well as quick as I lifted it off the floor it whipped out of my hands straight up to the zenith in the blink of an eye, in fact I think we uttered something to with #### hell as it hearly took my nose off, D proceeded to give it a spin and I could tell from the grin on his face he was pleased. After 10 minutes I managed to persuade him to part with his new toy so I could tame the beast (well wild cat at least) we swapped over in mid air rather than land. I swept the kite from edge to edge and was immediatley amazed at the speed and agility. I tried a little lower to the power zone only to find I could hold it there without being dragged face forward down the field so I tried it even lower, I found I could play with the whole window without fear although I did have to run a few paces at times. I was in heaven as I was looking for a good fun workout kite to get the muscles going, D layed on the floor approx 15 feet in front of me to take some pix with camera so I swooped the rad over his head several times approx 1-2 feet above without any quarms of hitting him at all. Overall I would say if you are looking for a fun kite without the urge of jumps etc and want something good value I would serioulsy consider adding this to your bag. I love it equally to my Blade III mainly for the smile it leaves on your face and speed it flies across the window. I would equally consider another Rad if money doesn't stretch to Flexi prices. Hope this helps Hope this helps you

I recently bought a Radsail Pro3 3m from an EBayer in Germany. I don't know about returns but the price was great, the service was excellent and there's no bloody way I want to send the kite back. It's my first 'proper' fourliner and I'm not embarrassed to say it given me plenty of fun and a fair amount of fear when it gets gusty. My fourteen year old son and I get dragged around our local oval and come home happy and looking forward to the next flight. I've read plenty about how Radsails are budget kites and "good for beginners". Yes, it was cheap and yes I'm a beginner and yes, I'm addicted.
