nigel
Well I don't know if I'm a glutten for punishment or not? With a nice Southerly hitting the state, the wind looks good for a Sandy Point run tomorrow (4th of Jan). 10 knots, maybe 15? Say the BOM (like they have accurate lately???) From the SW, so almost a perfect onshore. Only one minor snag... Low tide is at 6:56pm So junior and I are going to double check the wind in the morning (11am) then make the call. Beach should be good 3 hours before low tide, so 4pm start, or sooner?? Sunset at 8:40pm Will be cooking dinner when we come off the beach, and then drive home. See you wind loving junkies there!! Just cross your fingers and toes for some wind.....
nigel
After a few big days out, and late nights to go with them. Junior needs a day to recover from two big days out on the town. So, as a result, we will not be heading down today. If you're heading down, don't forget to rub it in, how good it was........or not. Now looking at my last chance for a buggy run these holidays, Saturday the 10th of Jan. Low tide midday, with a SW change to hit Friday night, may be some showers around. DrWind
Hey Nigel. Not sure if you both got down there? Conditions were great and I would have had a great landboarding session ... but 30 mins in my two downwind wheels decided to leave this world. I happened to be half way between Warratah Bay and Sandy Point. Managed to somehow limp back to WB, and that was the end of the session. Pretty sure the rubber was past its use-by date. Fun, but short! RedSky
nigel
Woooo! Bugger on the tryres shredding. You should have claimed you shredded the tyres through raw speed, and a new PB, before they parted this world. Glad you got some sort of a run in though. New plans, are for a run on Thursday at Sandy Point. Low tide 10:17am, and a dry change hitting the state early in the morning. So fingers crossed it will be a nice 10 knots......... Was looking at heading down Saturday, but it's going to be feral winds. So heading down Thursday, as it's my last chance before work goes back. Sunday at the moment looks almost perfect. But I have nippers on, so can't make it. Look forward to seeing you ,or any others for a run. Nigel.
