  1. Yep drill it!! Try a Naish handle, they r really long so u can make a nice tall loop for easy grabs. Can u do proper varials and land them yet?? Dan
  2. Hi, I'd lose the leash and use the primary safety (the velcro+pin D arrangement near the cleat). I use a 04's and have never had a problem with this system. You should also ensure the 'donkey dick' is through the hook on ya spreader bar. This will prevent those accidental unhooked moments... Practise in lower wind till u r happy with how hard u have to pull to get a release. Put it back together with care to avoid tangles. Probably best to save the release 4 emergencies and use the orange line to drop the kite in the normal way... Later Dan:)
  3. Thanx for the input chaps! I have tried the flysurfer titan (12.5). I think this has some stability issues... I'v picked up an airrush lift(12.5) 2nd hand. pretty cheap, so if i kill it it dont matter too much. The glide in jumps is sooo much better than the frenzy. Will get a 5th line added asap. I'll post again when iv put a few more hrs on it. Thanx Dan
  4. Kite surfin is a cool way to learn trix without the injuries... (If i can stay up wind;) ) I have to say that snow kiting is loads easier than either LB or KS. The edge control of KS with soft landings but no sinking and HUGE jumps!! Take it easy Dan
  5. Does anyone use LEIs for landboarding? I tried a mates North Rhino's on the snow and was impressed with the lift/handling. It relaunched really easy with the 5th line. I use frenzys at the mo but they seem too slow/heavy... Any opinions? Dan
  6. Forget it and learn to paraglide Gonzo
  7. GritX shorts r highly recommended!! Mine save my ass every time i fly Bit hot in sumer but nice and warm for snow kiting!
  8. Do it mate!! Wallop last year was a mega event, the BEST people u will ever get pisht/kite with will be there... Try not to fly into me tho! I've never seen soooo many kiters in one place!! Puts a big old smile on your face.... I'd suggest getting there EARLY tho:) C Ya Dan
  9. What sort of attitude is that?!? Get out in the mud at LH and go for it with ya nu frenzy... If you want any tips on how to look as cool as me when covered in crap, I shall gladly oblige:D. Dan
  10. Gardener to Lord Montagu... This week I shall mostly be eatin' ACORNS!
  11. Board leash is dangerous with a kite... who wants to get dragged with a board trying to attack you at the same time??? Tried it when I learned to Ksurf, took it off the second time out. Take it off, Gonzo
  12. Elbow pads are good in the summer when the grass is rock hard and abrasive to fall on, esp when u have no other cover on ur arms... I dont bother in winter, for the opposite reasons. ALWAYS ride in a lid, skin loss hurts but wont kill you. An unconscious kiter will p!ss on your session, your mates wont thank you... Lets keep the image of this sport responsible(ish) GONZO!!
  13. If u cant redirect, dont bother... Just keep pulling on the back hand and underturn the kite:D!! It might be wise to try to be pointing a tad down wind when u land, as this method does tend to lead to a rather more rapid re-entry... Have fun, GONZO!!
  14. Bet no one else does big fat jumps in a vmax... Will post the evidence of the flying pig asap. GONZO!!
  15. Does any one know anything about these boards? Is it a new design, or just another trampa clone? Also, will those light MBS wheels and tyres fit on a no-sno kite freestyle? I like the design of the no-sno & figure this might offset some of the weight of the trucks... Cheers Dan:cool:
  16. 20mph clean wind, 2 lines, landboard, big hill, short grass, nice!!! )
