    40m?

probably a stupid idea, but can i take the brake lines off my 1.5bullet and attach them to the powerlines to make them longer. then larks head the brake bridles onto the powerbridles but so they are loose(no tension) I'll enfd up with 60m lines. Will it work???
  3. Just thought i'd let u know i ride on ~1.5inch grass and weigh 61kg.
  4. guess it will be my 'storm' kite then everyone has one i suppose...
  5. anyone know what sort of windspeed is required to get boarding on a bullet 1.5? I'm guessing its a lot.......
  6. looks like u've been done! you needer the larger bar for the 3.5 the smallest size is for the 1.5 only.
  7. maybe ur travelling to far downwind and so u r effectively decreasing the windspeed on the kite ergo u loose power ergo you need to keep the kite working hard. With my experience of foils, most under 4m need to be worked a lot. larger kites you can just sit half way up the window and 'lock in the power'
  8. oh yeh...i'm 61kg sorry airforce. Can't afford one at the mo. When i've saved up if you still have it i'll give you a bell. In the mean time any other sugestions please....
  9. its not much help but i think you can by making some holes. I wouldn't reccommend it though. Give flexifoil a ring and c what they say. If you can get it done then get it done professionaly.
  10. Hi, i've been kitelandboarding for a while now and want to get into kitesurfing. With mountain boards you select the one you want in terms of weight, flex, trucksetc. With kiteboards i've heard there are different sizes for different amounts of power? i want an intermediate board (twintip) that i can use in all wind conditions without breaking the bank, Am i asking too much. Please help me any suggestions appreciated. Tom
  11. just replace the bent truck with a new skate truck. I think there are about £30
  12. peter lynn make a pump specifically designed 4 twinskin kites. Only seen advertised at 1 one shop though. I'm guessing preinflation will be the main problem so try helping it along with a pump. I have a portable small handheld electric pump which i think will help on those low wind days. give it a go anyway.
  13. try a waist harness instead...
  14. as far as i high wind kite i highly reccomend a 2.5 bullet. One sold on the forums for £80 recently! If you fly inland then the samurai might fair betterin thoses gusts. My first board was a scrub lion canyon 2. Awesome little thing to chuck around. Now upgrading to an airdeck. If your just getting started then i would reccomend the scrub series. Some other forum users might post some other suggestions...

i've just sold a Blade II 6.4 (maybe it was u?) I'm 15 and weigh 61kg and its fine. As said earlier its more flyer skill and ability rather than size. Mine gave me huge floaty jumps. I just sat it at the zenith and waited for a gust.(not recommended) Its great in clean winds though. Controllable power when you want it.
  16. Just had an idea that some sort of feedback system should be set up to help buyers and sellers. Sort of like ebay. Who thinks this is a godd idea?
  17. got a ahrness 4 sale if you want. A* condition....
  18. yeh i read that too in the paper. At least with kite buggying you have a relatively large brightly coloured object in the sky. Sandyachts are harder to spot. Another dreadful tragedy in the world of wind vehicles. I guess bans will follow.........
  19. u heard the saying 'go fly a kite' especially if you've got nothing else to do.
  20. transports a b**c* at 15 yrs. I usually cycle down to my local park. (10min) Such a pain with a board aswell though. here's some ideas though: if your 2 kites are foils pack them into one back and compress them as best you can (belt perhaps..) take some sort of string or strapping and tie to either end of the board to make a carry strap. At least you will have 2 hands free. Its always worth the effort if the conditions are good. 2hrs is actually quite a long time.
  21. i've done a bit of atb and am 15yr shame that were a bit too far apart.
  22. MBS F3 are prob the best on the market at the moment. Do a search for them on the forums cz i posted on them recently.
  23. if you've launched your kite and flying fine, if you get lofted you WILL come down, But i was thinking...it could be possible to be so overpowered that when you launch you just go up and up. (no gusts just simply overpowered) Scary huh...
  24. So how did you get them for £30...>>>wink,wink>>nudge,nudge Go on, you know you want to haggle for me:p
  25. just to update, MBS F3 bindings are more like £40-45. I'm geeting mine fitted onto my airdeck, should look sweeet...
