  2. Gaynor you could have let it run a little longer. for those that don't know emmet is a none Cornish person I know what your thinking but I'm a grockle. Of course I miss you guys & your welcome down any time I just don't have my own place to invite you to. Crut you were on the south coast & thought you had waves come play on the north.
  3. more info http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/cornwall/7015882.stm
  4. If you fancy a trip there is a free, open style competition at Porthemmet later this month. Great prizes. Its rumoured down here there are going to be a number of talent scouts out looking for a more amature angle to kitesurfing, which is why it's an open style & free. May be cold so bring your winter wet suit although as the site states waters are warmer here. For beach info check out http://www.losethegame.com/porthemmet/porthemmet.htm for better directions before booking accomodation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porthemmet_Beach
  5. Folks, hope you all have a great weekend it looks like the beer has won over the beach for me as I've got a mate coming down I haven't seen years so party tomorrow. But NOOOO BEACH whaaa! well maybe Sunday night.
  6. How the kite Crut? if you have real issue then these guys r good. http://www.cygnus-sails.com/watersport-sail_repairs-kite_repairs.html Badger I know the pain I left out the bit where I Came in to the beach too fast holding the edge & didn't want to let go & loose ground/ water. Shoulder slam into the deck nearly fixed now.
  7. beer vs beach? thats one for u guys but I know where I'll be.
  8. Its a long story, on the way there a wheel popped on the land rover and it came off the rim. When we got there pete managed to almost roll his landy in a 8 foot ditch and at the bottom was swap water so it was slowly sinking. The next day we had to be pulled out by another land rover. It was so funny. Tell you the rest of the story when i see you. Crut what have you been doing with all your kites?? So Pete is learning to bury cars without assistance now then big suprise.
  9. Tell me about it, yesterday was the first day I've really got out in the big stuff, kite fully powered up in full depower & riding those waves is hard work, bit like doing hurdles instead of a gentle jog. Kills the legs I can't believe how hard going it was. Fantastic though only down side was if you wipe out & then get one of those things break on your head, happened more than once. Does wonders for carving though if you get the approach wrong your out of the game. Glad it wasn't just me.
  10. :) C R A P - J A C K:) :) Happy Birthday Dude.
  11. only 8-9mph here so dry stuff only but I can't be arsed, I want water. Should I sell my B4 6.5? ???
  12. You say negative, I'm thinking I'm being more realistic. That or you don't have to drive Paula just had a thought that last day we spent on Gwithian & I nearly died carring so much stuff with me, I brought all the stuff as the forecast was similar & I thought I'd only be able to get the blade out. I understand it's a long way - still the best beach going though. Unless you want wave riding then Perranporths the ticket.
  13. Arrh Brummies you got to love em! Gwithian at the bluff end has an estuary which runs at around 8mph, so for those none wind day & experienced Kitesurfing folk (not me) you use the current there. + just imagine what 8mph will do for POP.
  14. Blue Ice- I had an 07 Naish boxer before the Helix.
  15. http://community.flexifoil.com/showthread.php?t=125486&page=24&highlight=helix save me typing it again but oh my god thank you Naish.
  16. Oh yes I forgot up wind for the first time railing hard. wow wow wow wow wow etc
  17. OK sorry I'm going to rant I have an issue with Naish. Why oh why did they not bring out the Helix a year ago? This thing does what it says on the tin & alot more!!! Awsome doesn't cover it I'm still stoked from the session I had yesterday to the point I'm finding it hard to type. If I had one a year ago I would have progressed SO much faster. Words can't cover the amazing time I had yesterday the nearest thing I can get to it is that I've been trying to learn to ride on a mono cycle & someone gave me a mountain bike with all the bells & whistles. It all came in to play gone are carving issues, underpower edge of window stalls. It just all works even got my first jumps in on the water & flying off the tops of waves wow. Ok I'm fully buzzing & this may not be cohearant (spelling?) but if your on the water get one or at least test drive one arrrrgh awsome.
  18. Sorry to hear that you must be gutted. If you haven't been recommended them yet have a word with www.cygnus-sails.com they have been in the sail bizz for 30 years & do Naish's repairs also they have developed special techniques for bladder repair.
  19. I was going to right this thread when I found it. I was out on my 14m Helix yesterday & OH MY GOD the best session ever without doubt. It does what it says on the tin & no mistake + no annoying over flaring to stall if I put it too low in the edge of the window & try to recover. I know this is something I shouldn't do but with this 50% turn business I could totally abuse this hammer it right to the edge pull the bar to the max & instead of choaking the life out of it, it powered up & took me back on course. I only wish I had one of these a year ago. I would have progressed so much faster. Awsome x 1000+++
  20. Damned good on the anti vibration & light arn't the, Still chuffed with mine. Not as good as Crut by the looks of things. I'm OK on the flat & starting to carve at Gwithian but I still have wave trouble at Perranporth. Still wave riding is a whole other game so I'm not too upset. I have been uderpowered the last few times out so I'm hoping when the Helix 14 comes out of the bag all should fall into place. How about yourself?? Coming to Gwithian in Sept?
  21. Badger - Do I see a 555 at the bottom of your signature
