  1. Having a kit minimisation (no fun having to be all grown up and responsible, especially when the summer's just arriving...) Misfit 146 x 43 - £185 posted SX 132x39 - £165 posted Dakine Storm harness, medium, with 10" spreader bar and pad - £40 posted Also Dakine 6" spreader bar and pad - £20 posted All in excellent condition. 2. I use a 157 true twin (75kg, 5'10") with a centred symmetrical stance. Don't have any problems with it on the mountain. You feel the burn on the back leg in deep powder as you have to lean back to bring the leading tip up, but if you can ride switch, you just alternate direction when it gets too much...

Guess that'd be a no then... You could try foilzone now that they're back online
  4. Good little storm kite - very quick.. As Dubstep rightly points out - like rocking horse poo these, especially tidy examples... P.S. Dub "Wishs Beth1974 was MY Mum" - bet you're not the only one
  5. http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/mx5alan/arcs/wind_range.htm Personally, would have said around 15mph with a biggish board (140x44-150x40). Was out on my syn12 on sun (latest toy) - was overpowered in the 25+mph gusts on a 132 board, (80kg)...
  6. Combination of loving snowboarding, loving kitesurfing and youtube - had to try it! Hopefully get another go this year - finances permitting..
  7. Wow - that's an eye opener! kitesurfing = R'n'B windsurfing = Leg's'n'Co
  8. Wondering if this was a wind up caused by boredom related to the recent lack of decent wind, but seeing as you've only just joined... 'Best' is entirely subjective. There are pro's and con's to both approaches... (though as is usually the case, the benefits are mainly short term) Would have to say it's a no-brainer. Invest in some time spent with someone experienced - lessons, or otherwise. The community doesn't need any more casualties... At the end of the day you've got to weigh up the costs and benefits for yourself - it's your neck on the line:confused: Good to see you're asking first though - the troll's going to be well fed for a while:D

  13. Paulie, Wasn't it you that was advocating naked kitesurfing the other day? Explains the thread...
  14. Again - think he's a proper blackbelt, but falls into the ringing category...
  15. There's hope for me yet then:rolleyes: I find I've got to keep moving these days or I seize up:D

  17. Had a V reg Vito and had one minor and one major issue with it:- minor = fuel consumption major = off set driving position - gave me all sorts of back/hip problems (and I'm not that old!) Anyone else had this with Vitos?
  18. Good point Dan - wonder what Mr Rider has to say about the age reference though...
  19. Easier to surf in the rain... Given the forum, I'm impressed by the lack of bias in answers so far!

    Snowkite terrain

And I seem to remember Mr Frakke gave me a lot of good advice when planning my trip last season!!

    Snowkite terrain

Went to Are in Sweden at the end of March last year - cost about half a week in Val did and the accommodation was much better... Have also been out to Andorra - would say its comparable moneywise to Are, except the alcohol's more expensive in Scandanavia. Are itself wasn't an ideal location for snowkiting, but would definitely recommend Scandanavia - some of those plateau's need exploring!
  22. As I seem to remember from my days of innocence and youth, hangovers are usually magnified by the feeling that you made a complete twat out of yourself the previous evening...
  23. What a great read... What sparked it off - white lightning?
  24. PM sent
  25. Think what Hentex meant was get a hacksaw and cut a slot in the top if possible, which will give you more leverage with a large flat bladed screwdriver..
