Hope to be flying home Monday, weather permitting, lol! Missed the snow by a week last year, looks promising for this time home. Got the whole kit last year and never used it. I'll be well up for a trip out. What do you call it? A "Snowfari"?

How do you do that Pooly? Bargain. Have you changed the mini battens yet? Get the "strimmer" type fitted before the originals snap and pop through the webbing...

As well as filing off any sharp edges, use boardwax to to lube up the line before use...

It's good to mix it up... Had a wild session yesterday riding a strapped board for the first time in a while. Been riding strapless for a while now but yesterday was maxxed out on a 7m kite. Had screwed the straps back on to my 5' 10" Resin8 the night before in preparation, good move. Good feeling to get some airtime once again. Well impressed with my board's performance!

Hope it all goes well and you have a real good party. Missed it last year and, despite making plans to be home on time, am gonna miss it this year. Make sure someone gets some decent photos of the sumo suit wrestling. My money's on Layne. See you on the beach August , maybe....

This board has more bite than "Mutley", a Quad with two additional sidebite fins. 2009 version, little used, sound condition and one professional ding repair, (punched my harness hook through the deck..) For Lake Garda I would recommend this outfit Rick: scuola kitesurf sul lago di garda It's not far from Malcescine and if you are camping there is a handy little campsite at Assensa. The morning wind is best for you, get up early, have a blast, the wind is gone by midday so the rest of the day is freed for family stuff. The beauty of their set up is that they will take you out on to the lake, find the wind, launch you, look after you and bring you home. Yes, some nutters launch through tunnels, saw it myself. Had ten days there some years ago, the prices have gone up since then but a 50 Euro hit for two days service still looks good value to me.

Yes, learn strapless...but here's the expensive option mentioned, stick-on pads. No issues apart from the straps supplied with the pads were too small for boots, hence the dakine x-laces. (made the job uber expensive..) http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll178/DesRes_photos/IMG_0321.jpg

Got back from Portsmouth yesterday, spent a few days camping after the run last Sunday. What a day out! Anyone see the race on Channel 5? Not a bad race for myself but the wind slowed everyone down, the last two miles were along the prom into a 20 knotter. I did it in 66 mins 48 secs, and came in at 199th position. There were 21,000 running so not bad for a old fart eh? Thanks to all that have sponsored me, my page account is still open if anyone else feels like shelling out. See you on the beach.

Picked up my new permit from the office this afternoon and signed the indemnity form. Yes, there is a new clause, item 24: "No launching or landing of kites within 100m of the beach parking area." See y'all Saturday, though not Carl by the sounds of things...
