  1. unlucky....im not one to ask about local shop repairs nor flexifoil for that matter. But for peice of mind and guaranteed quality i would say post to flexifoil.
  2. I made my own out of old roces skate bindings...blah blah...not that comfortable but in all only cost me one pound for the cord...not that comfy but did the job:rolleyes:
  3. I bought my Blade II 4.0 off a guy called jock on these forums for £190. It was in perfect condition no tears or anything and as jock said only six months old. So depending on the age and condition try and haggle a bit and see what you can get:D Start low...but dont insult and slowly come to a price you can both find acceptable. 190 only a guide price as im not sure if jock was being really kind:rolleyes: :D
  4. I think thats the info your looking for.. it was posted earlier on the thread
  5. Lol. That looks great fun and wouldnt mind watching you go down that hill. Now a new idea: Tandem kite bike:D
  6. Thanks rob and superfly. I will probably drop down on alex pink after my exams are over and hopefully i will have more money then. Would be nice to fly with other people. Nice kite bike by the way lol. Lets hope i get a job now. Garry: For 200 its a bit steep....but for unlimited access for that size of a feild maybe. Looks alot of land..Sorry for hyjacking your thread:o
  7. Ive had to vote 50 tops. Im a student trying to pay for insurance and the like and would find anything greater then that a hindrance. At the moment im having to fly alone on a local common not 5 minutes away from the feild oc1rob talking about and would love to get involved in a club of some sort. Shame its £150 put me straight off as i will have no chance of affording that. Rather put it to some more equipment. Ie another kite. Its pathetic how everything in England costs so much. Same thing happened while i was wakeboarding. in the UAE you bought the kit and could use it for free but coming back to England i found i had to pay to use my kit. May sound rather arrogant and silly but when your my age and having to support your own wishes with others i found im just not up to it. May get in contact with MK KITE FLYERS in the future but pretty doubtfull. anyways im now not only ginger, ive got freckles, but im also a loner:( Adam
  8. Lifes no fun if you dont take risks. Youve got to get the adrenalyn (sp?) pumping:D :D
  9. Should i risk my ipod or get something cheaper:confused:
  10. Because i cant afford a bar:(
  11. Well at the moment im flying in Bery feild common in Newport Pagnell.

Some of the fingerless ones you get for biking. Maybe try halfords. Personnaly i use some fingerless neoprene with tough anti slip material that i used for jet sking and sailing so do the job. When wet they keep your hands nice and warm but are a bit restrictive due to all the stuff theyve managed to put on them. The link below has a good selection: http://www.changing-gear.com/acatalog/CG_Catalog_Cycle_Gloves_300.html
  15. well bugger me!!! thats gotta hurt.
  16. Put piles of dog food all over the feild and then when an unsuspecting dog comes along they will wonder what hit them when the viagra kicks in and will go off and hump their owners:D :D
  17. if i had one of those id be kissing the arse of a jumbo jet:eek:
  18. I wouldnt say a blade isnt floaty. in the right winds it will take you up and up and up and up................ I was in about 20mph the other day and got one huge floaty jump. Landed softly and enjoyed myself immensly. I was able to control my landing so i didnt land in the cow dung. ...well slightly at least
  19. If you do that i will be willing to buy it.
  20. lol. could of done with some of those shorts last week. now im suffering from a badly bruized coccyx:(
  21. well ive now got used to my blade 4.0 and find it amazing with pretty amazing jumps. As to a 3.0 ive got a mate with one and he ways a good 12 stone. In good winds he can get some pretty amazing jumps. He sets down ok but hes the judge if its hard. I find its quite soft but then i only weigh 8 stone and it was very very windy. Im sure someone with better experiance then me will be better informed as ive only been out and seen him on his blade once.
  22. Same 4 metre blade II and ists the Dogs b*****s. Though i was offered it through me being hilariously (sp) dumb.
  23. Hi Best bet is to go down to your local club or kite shop and ask about, see if you can get a few goes on different kites. See what you like and what advice they can give you depending on your flying skills and what you want to do. You should allways find some helpful people and your kite shop, if half good, will give you some very good advice. I know mine did. ROY PINK CYCLES in Newport Pagnell. Shame i didnt buy from there. Didnt have the money. Leading onto my next point...the price. If you want lower prices and are just starting out its usefull to go second hand first so you dont blow a few hundred pounds. Kites are expensive but then there brilliant fun and can last forever:D . So do the above and try some kites out then maybe post in the wanted forum what you would like and see if people have anything going. Sorry havent used the peter lynn. Good luck Adam- a relative newb who hopes the above is good advice^^^
  24. Word of advice to all. Ive got the same catapult. Hit a pigeon who was sitting on the edge of the chimney and it fell in. horrid absolutly horrid. Neddless to say only used peas after that. Just to scare them away.
  25. All im gonna say now and you will be able to see it plastered all over my sig is.... DONT LAND ON YOUR ARSE...you will regret it if its hard enough. A graze doesnt sound to bad right now:o
