  2. damn, i gotta get me one of those
  3. ooh, you've found a ladder to get out your hole now havn't you?
  4. student no more to say
  5. wot kind of camera you got? are you going to be doing riders veiws or just spectators views or both? i've done biking movies, car movies, shopping trolly movies (shows you what we do at uni), skate movies and climbing movies, never a kit movie, i reckon it's going to be like biking movies
  6. in think he's lying, he's gone to another thread and he's not coming back and replying
  7. i'll be able to tell whether he's 'saying' or 'saying'
  8. yeh you don't have to go above 4mtrs but you're not really doing rec until you're that high or higher, it's an expression. rasga yes it is just kite jumping, when you hit 12mtrs was that off something or straight off the ground and how fast was the wind? and how big was the kite?
  9. if you haven't got more than 4 mtrs you haven't flown rec, but you really need to practice loads and loads to get good, this is my favorite type of kiting, i can use any of my kites for this, if you go out tommorrow spend at least 3 hours doing this cos you're on half term aren't you, then afterwards just before you go home try it just once or twice, i can almost guarantee it that you'l get at least a little bit better, if you really want it, i used to be crap at rec, somebody recommended this to me, after 4 days i was hitting 5mtr airs almost everytime
  10. i'm getting the plans together for a homemade as if you've got a homemade you're gonna like everything about it as whereelse could i get a 2mtr back axle and buggy for less than £300, cheap and perfect
  11. recreational, only special equipment is a kite, you run and jump, really need high speed wind thou, you sould of tried it today, hopefully wind will be as strong tomorrow, forget your skates take some good trainers, best to try this on grass first tho, you land wrong and your ankles gone, but imagine jumping 7 mtrs high (my record) with nothing under you, amzing, plus it's possible to get better air as theres nthing weighing you down,
  12. we're looking at 18mph winds tomorrow, it's just you
  13. yu tried rec
  14. face it, would you rather have a last minute of fun or give them away, and i said in my last post i might try to get some of my mates at uni interested
  15. it was boggy on grass and you still got speed?
  16. i like handles for control in air and on ground, but same depends are you for speed or air or both, handles for both, bar for speed, handles for air, but thats my opinion and experience
  17. may do to be honest i've three reasons why i do this, 1) fun 2) new ones as gifts 3) inherited quite a bit of money about 6 years ago when i was 16 from grandmother, told me to spend it on anything fun, so i spend it on this, so old kites no needto sell, but still, see if i can get some of my mates at uni to start kiteing
  18. smooth ride? fast?
  19. yeh but where did you go, tarmac or grass, ho wet
  20. probably i'm just a bit thick
  21. if they're gifts whats the point in funding them
  22. hey i'm a student, good to get in at your age, have more accidents, learn from your mistakes
  23. yeh but if i want to get rid of it, it's that crap no-one else is going to buy it, i riden the pits, normally the reason why i get rid of them is because i've already got myself a new one, no need to fund, have a bit of last minute fun, + most of my new kites are presents from parents, bit embaressed to admit but they are
  24. sand area is a good idea power slides 1/2 points wheelies 2/3 for every 5 mtrs no air bonuses if the same trick is performed on the ground but with all three wheels have to be on the ground
  25. i have a wierd method for getting rid of kites, go to a scrap yard, get some old rpe and an iron bar, use the iron bar as a contol bar and the rope obviously as a rope, find a lake, get air over the lake, let go, kite fly's off, you don't have to worry about it, it's gone! one tip, not near electricty, a road or anything like that, i use a quad when i do this
