  1. Same as b4 8.5 BladeIII, 9.5 Sabre
  2. My deviant art account: Aeolianwaveform on deviantART Had it for about seven months, not put up as much as i could have done, quality over quantity
  3. Thanks, am trying to get the job done with Super, it'll do it, just faffing with the settings for the best result.
  4. I need a good free converter for m4v to wmv, avi or something similar. I've had a google for one but not had much luck, does anyone know of anything suitable ?
  5. Suprised no-one's mentioned Watchmen or V for Vendetta
  6. These photos are a few years old now, it's not as pristine looking now ! http://www.kitegallery.net/d/70116-2/P7070002.jpg http://www.kitegallery.net/d/70110-2/P7070005.jpg
  7. Haven't bought a copy for years, could be related to the fact they never paid me for an article i did for them in 2006 ! (despite repeated emails, prodding and moaning on here) !
  8. I never got paid, couldn't be bothered to take them to court, just never bought a copy again !
  9. Hi Nick, been awhile, how's it going. When I ordered my Sabre I had it come with 30m lines and that's the length I use on my Blade as well, for Exeter's inland spots they do make a lot of difference. You probably noticed that with 25's when it's around the zenith there's plenty of wind but as soon as you start to work the kite you have to bring it down out of the sweet spot, with the 30's you can still work it without ever having to bring it down too far.
  10. Which would be less likely to break or scratch glass, being washed in a metal sink or plastic bowl ? It don't take a rocket scientist to work it out !
  11. Is it 12 or 13 ply ? Makes a a big difference. A 13 short is just right for me but a 12 would be too bendy.
  12. I've left my reflectors on ! Useful when riding round afterdark so that you can be seen .
  13. A mate of mine got himself a bell after he got fed up with pedestrians (walking on cycle paths) shouting at him to get a bell. Now as he goes past they shout at him "ere what's your problem, ringning your bloody bell at us !" Also regarding mtb's damaging the environment, I don't have a car, i cycle for transport as well as recreation. So when a CAR driver moans about push bikes harming the environment it makes me angry as it's very hippocritical.
  14. Ayup 320 lumens Maxx-d 960 lumens Ayup have an example of a bar, helmet combo witha total of 640 lumens. However a maxx-d, joystick combo on helmet and bar will give you a staggering 1200 lumens. What are peoples thoughts on quick release vs bolt through, gonna be getting some revelations soon and at the mo am more in favour of bolt through but not %100 sure.
  15. This is the light for night riding, not cheap at £300 ! http://www.exposurelights.com/uploads/MaXx-D-cut-out.1.jpg I've just got one of these (on a bar mount), still very bright and a lot cheaper at £160 http://www.exposurelights.com/uploads/Joystick-MaXx.jpg And Here's what i ride http://www.yourmtb.com/files/yourmtb/images/Marin%20B-17_0.JPG Must stress that's not mine just someone's b-17. I've upgraded the bottom bracket to a deore hollow tech and put a deore chain set on. Also about to upgrade the forks to revelations and have a new front wheel built with probably a hope hub.
  16. What was it like? i loved Neverwhere and American Gods. I enjoyed it, supposed to be a childrens book but is very dark in places. Neil reading it: http://www.mousecircus.com/videotour.aspx
  17. I see this as yet another sign of the slow decline, a few years ago no-one would have posted such an image because of the amount of grief they would have got over it.
  18. Just finished "The Graveyard book" by Neil Gaiman.
  19. Glad someone had the sense to mention HTC, the diamond and the touch hd are so much easier to use than the iphone. I've got the diamond and am very happy with it, i even installed an app on it that means i can use it as a gps tracker (top speed, average speed and kml files to stick into google earth etc) plus the app was free from here http://www.xda-developers.com/
  20. I know that Flexi also proof their ripstop but not in the same way as ozone, ozone's proofing is a covering which adds weight and tends tp start peeling of after awhile (the tips go first). It makes sense as they are sold as snowkites but as i don't fly in snow (or even at the beach that often) it's something I don't need. for example, why buy marine goretex when you will never get wet with salt water, regular will do fine and be half the price.
  21. Don't like the build quality of HQ, don't like the ripstop used on Ozone (in particular the waterproof coating which tends to start peeling of after awhile). The Outlaw looks good, i like Flysurfers build quality and choice of fabric but not the pricetag.
  22. Do you think that Flexi will bring out another depowerable foil ? Or am i waiting for something that's unlikely to happen. I'm tempted by the Flysurfer Outlaw but if there's a new offering from Flexi in the pipeline would rather wait.
  23. You could get a nice pair of raybans with glass lenses for that much dosh. I know that polycarbonate is tougher but i have literally lost hours on the field trying to get the smears of polycarbonate lenses, glass ones are so much easier to clean.
