  1. If you buy from the EU: you will not pay any import duties. VAT should be included in the price like it is when you buy in UK shops. just make sure of the postage. If you buy from the US: You will pay import duty on the price of the item+postage. As of today this is 2.7%. So if your kite is say £200 and the postage is say £30 You will pay 2.7% on £230 = £6.21 and VAT at 17.5% on £236.21 = £41.34 for a total amount of £277.55 If you are browsing on US shops for prices I suggest you first find out how much the postage is and add that to the price of the item. Convert into £ and then add about 21% to get an idea of the final price Hope this will clarify issues! P.S. I personally wouldn`t buy from the US. If I had to buy abroad (EU), I would get a Ryanair flight, go shopping and find some exotic flying site!!!
  2. I think correcting the spelling would make your site look more professional. Other than that, carry on with the good work. Cheers
  3. Hi, I am from Rome (live in UK now) and often go there (with Ryanair) to visit my family who are not far from the beach. I always see kitesurfers there any time of the year. I am not sure about in the high summer as it might be banned on crowded beaches (basically all of them in July and August). The beach at Ostia is only 30 mins train from Rome. I wouldn`t spend my summer holiday there but it would be great as a cheap kitesurfing destinations. You could stay in Rome or there are campsites near the beach. If you hire a car I know loads of other places for kitesurfing. I am definetely giving it a try this summer. This is the link to a weather station (it is for kitesurfing) on the beach there http://www.corallobeach.it/main.asp?M=041 Hope this help. Cheers
  4. Hi, Been there twice this year and a few times before. There isn`t really anywhere to kite around there as even farm fields are crossed by telephone and electricity. Just enjoy the skiing or boarding and leave the kite home, really. Enjoy
  5. First of all, I would like to thank and say hi to everybody on this forum as this is my FIRST post. Yesterday I flew my new PKD Buster 3m for the second time (my only other kite is an HQ 1.8) and as I was on my own I brought a few of those skinny little pegs (stakes) from my tent bag. I thought I`d use 4 together as I had no idea of what the break lines would pull (my first 4liner). So after I landed, I pegged the breaks and went to fold the kite which in turn started dancing around turning on itself. After five minutes of mayhem I managed to return it to its original landed position, I walked back to the breaks and picked up two of the skinny tent pegs, went back to the kite and pegged the trailing edge down, towards the middle, then I undone the flying and break lines from the kite (I worry about tangles) and folded it as easily as if it was in my lounge!!! I really could not believe how easy it was. Thanks and Hi again.
