  1. Wow, thanks for the info. Good that reviews are, actual experience is invaluable. Many thanks for your replys, have a lot to think about now cheers Kev
  2. Yeah, you are probably right. Blades can be unpredictable at the best of times, and will bite you hard if you're not carefull, yet, for some reason, I think there great. A bit like when you've had a good session, and haven't injured yourself, sense of relief and achievement! Its just that the oxigen seems like extraordinary value and worth looking into. thanks for the response. cheers
  3. Hi all, thanks for the replys. U-Turn getting some good feedback here, but if they outperform blades of same size, then a 4m probably wouldn't fit in with what I have already. Hmmm cheers Kev
  4. Hi, thanks for the replys It looks like the oxigen outperforms a blade of the same size. I used to have a 2m Airea Bronto, a good puller, but very twitchy and wouldn't go upwind, but just about the best quality I have ever seen, and looks like they've kept the same qualities at U-turn. some food for thought here cheers Kev:)
  5. Hi, thanks for reply. I just like cruising (no jumping) and as my bravery level is set to minimum, and as i felt a bit overpowered with my 4.9, I thought, hmm, would like a 4m. Yeah, blades are lifty, but nr 16stone and 6ft3 helps to ride it out a bit! any more thoughts out there? many thanks Kev
  6. Hi all, have a slight gap in my quiver between 3m blade2 and 4.9m blade3, and was going to go for a 4m blade, but stumbled across the oxigen threads posted before. Have flown a 2.5? i think, and quality/performance was good. So.. will a 4m oxigen be roughly same performance as a 4m blade, or will it exceed it? many thanks for your thoughts cheers Kev
  7. yeah, pretty good accounts but none of you have tried a tornado. I did, and boy oh boy, amazing lift, even to get my 2ton furnace creek of the ground (not to mention my 5 ton bodyweight). Had to travel to florida for the tornados but saved on the flight back due to all that amazing lift. (got in some pretty good loops and spins, though, unforunately, barfed an awful lot. Helmet managed to collect most of it) even landed in good old blighty. Even better, managed to land in the back garden, Gutted to find that my cat had invited all her mates around and enjoying my absense (and my Bud!). Major scratch injuries chucking them all out though and now wearing them proudly! Now off for a weeks rest on Jupiter where I hear the winds are pretty good around the red spot.......
  8. Few weeks ago, had dinner in a layby that overlooks the beach, saw someone buggying and with something like a land yacht. Drove down to the kiosk where they sell tickets and the girl in there confirmed that there was a ban on buggying and land yachting (pointed to the signs as you drive in). Also confirmed that you could be clamped and fined £2000ish, although, she had not heard of anyone being fined etc. Such a grey area about Saunton, are you definetly allowed to board or is it just an interpretaion of the rules?? Yours confused Kev cheers
  9. Second that about friendly kiters. I Was there few weekends ago trying to board with amazing lack of skill but good atmosphere and good chat. cheers

Funnily enough, I'm off to Cornwall beginning of October and was going to ask same question. However, I have heard Giwthian beach mentioned, near Hayle?? Anygood?? and what about the beach at Marazion?? Also, if there are any other good spots, would love to hear. cheers Kev
  12. Technically, I guess I'm middle aged at 35 but my wife says I have a mental age of 3. (thats unfair) Prehaps thats why it's 'middle' Wallop and not young Wallop or Old Wallop. Things now taking longer to heal, especially lower back but thats why they invented Ibuprofen! Intend to countinue as long as health (and bank balance) permit. cheers
  13. Yep, first jump with my 3m(2) blade 2 years ago. Felt high but only couple of feet. Mixture of fear and great adrenaline rush at the same time. Didn't all go smoothly with a half jump being converted into a fall followed by a long face skud (on beach) past startled and amused onlookers. No damage done except front of jeans filled with compacted sand and lots of laughter from mates! Hasn't put me off and tried first pendulm jump on my mates 2m(2) blade in high winds. Got the timing right after about 20 tries and wondered what the hell just happened. Brilliant. Very addictive and feeling the need for some more. cheers Kev
  14. Hello all, I've very recently purchased a 4.9 blade3 and enjoying it very much. However, have found that it luffs.(overflying I can cope with) but the luffing seems to be unpredictable. Am I right in saying then that all lines, brake and main should be the same length and all tuning done on the handles? I can overcome some of the luffing with the brakes at max. length but there does seem to be a lot of slack, and also not turning too well on brakes. Many thanks for your thoughts
